The record store I work for (well until we close for good on Sunday :( DO NOT WANT JOBLESSNESS) always had a steady supply of Ziltoid, and occasionally we'd get a copy of Terria, but other than a few SYL albums that was it. I did my best to always push it forward, but alas those titles have now all been liquidated.

sloppy.

When I worked in HMV (Humans; Mutilated Violently?) the metal section was my little baby. Even though I wasn't assigned it, it was in perfect nick every night as I was leaving. I always found time to do a quick sweep of it. I can't even go into the shop anymore; it pains me to see the state of it since I've left. If I did try and browse through it, I'd end up tidying it. And I'm not being paid to do that. So I can't.

I know that feeling. I get these random urges to alphabetize.

In a perfect world I would own a chain of record/CD stores that would carry loads of the best selling artist Devin Townsend, along with loads of other great acts like Secret Chiefs 3, Grotus, Faith No More (1992-1997 mainly), Skepticism, Electric Wizard, Big Business, Bible of the Devil, Sun City Girls, Leviathan, the Melvins, and act of the sort. It would be even more successful than Wal-Mart, and the world would be perfect as people would have the perfect music to make themselves happy. However, Devin would sell an average of 7.3 million albums per month out of my chain of stores alone.

Never seen devy in store here at the states.

I also think it's better to order from the hevy devy website itself. I mean I'm sure dev sees more of a benefit from someone ordering his CDs from his own label/store than somewhere else like I tunes or FYE.

And he deserves the cash for his hard work. I don't trust any record labels or distribution services to be good to an artist. I mean I have nothing against them, they have to make money somehow. But I would rather but music directly from an artist I support because it makes me feel better that I may have helped them out a little more than I did if I just bought it from a CD store.

Especially if I go see someone in concert. Buy a t-shirt and a CD at the very least so they have money to get some food or in case they get in a bind!

How bizarre. In trondheim, Norway, i often find Ziltoid and Synchestra in the devin folder, sometimes accelerated evolution and other albums as well, and they have the Synchestra Special Edition on display, lol

Totally. I find pretty much every major townsend release in the JB-HiFi near Fountain Gate. I guess I should consider myself lucky for that. They support metal pretty heavily at this place.

Heard Detox twice last night (fuck yeh) at the metal club I go to. Awesome. I'd love to know what people think of me when I metal-out to that song.
