Moving, frankly, sucks rocks...so hope it is over and done with somewhat speedily for you :!:

I just checked out the poopynuggeteer stuff...LOVED the KI clips...well...enjoyed all the videos there but the Ki one was terrific. Very teasing teaser. Can't wait to hear the whole thing. The pre-order thing sounds like a simply smashing idea. Could we be so lucky? I've never been very patient, I'm afraid. :|

The Dev wrote:Hey guys, sorry to be so distant over the last week or so...been moving (again) and it's lots of lifting and hitting my head. I've been working on the next record (slowly) It's hard to switch gears so severely from manual to mental...

Updates:

I get the first REAL guitar tommorow from Peavey, (for ads n such) man, it looks really really amazing, basically everything I've learnt about guitars in one place. I love it.

New website is being worked on daily, should be up in time for the release...about 2 weeks till the live chat, still working on the street team material, (again, spent the day putting drywall filler into holes...so I sat down at the computer, sighed, and went home to watch Dancing With The Stars...yup)

I go to Europe to do a shitload of press in the next week or two, should be interesting...just getting focussed and prepared for the inevitable strapping barrage...s'cool though, I know where I'm at.

The more I listen to Ki, the more I love it, I hope it's accepted. Theres many people out there who don't know about metal, and I hope some of them dig it, and maybe even dig the heavy bits as a dynamic. I LOVE clean guitar...(and damn, I love bass)

Bass:

Just got a Warwick 5 string Corvette double buck, neck through, bubinga etc. Replacing the pickups with EMGs, practicing nightly.

really digging exercise and meditation. I suck at both, but you have to start somewhere right? I'm drawn to those things really heavily right now...

I keep saying 'a few more days' , and I'll say it again, it's harder to jump straight into the next record than I thought...have to make money, have to take care o bizness etc...I have to be up early to finish the move and go into town to get stuff for Europe...(new guitar! ...pod bean for video stuff)

, I'll be with you guys soon, sorry for my absence.

Dev

And by the way, Warwick are the greatest basses out there, their grooooowl, their loooook, I just love them <3

(even if it must be quite expensive in north america, they're still amazing)

Hope all goes well with the move as well!

Pfft, come now, you're being too critical of yourself, I think. But it's good in a way. The more people worry, the more they seem to care about making something worthwhile. But you, Dev, can take a break, because you seem to care about everything you do, and everyone always loves it as a result. Take it easy on yourself. :)

And just saw some pictures on the insideout website.... this one's awesome.

This is great to hear. You make a good choice: about Warwick, I've heard wonderful things. Who doesn't love bass? :o
Ki will be accepted with open arms, by Devin fans, and by Devin noobs alike. Can't you just feel it?

Hey Dev, thanks again for the constant updates. You're the best my good man.
I'm a newcomer to the whole excercise and meditation vibe too and the best advice I can give you is that if you keep at it for a while you do find yourself getting ahem! "Addicted" if you will. Combining with your green tea fixation shall make for some very interesting results. Mentally as well as physically I've discovered. I've found that if you surf YouTube you can find some cool guys giving good advice on proper technique and specific excercises. Alot of Steroid-Freak childs too though. I'd advise against taking their advice mind you. Heh heh. I'd suggest some music for meditation but you wrote both the albums I use so you kinda got me there man. :zen:

I would REPLACE a delerious rant right about here, essentially stating my excitement and anticipation toward all the new albums and the bonus discs but it goes without saying at this point. Hope the weather over here in Europe is good to you during your trip. And if you need a nice place to crash in Dublin city during you're stay then sure don't be afraid to ask.

Awesome man. :) I wonder why you keep away from Ibanez guitars. Okey they are kind of "heavy chunk beaf guitars for beginners who doesn't know much about guitars" imo  . But i like them anyways.. um. The necks are nice :D
