I'm guessing Coast. My favourite part of the teaser.

And as for explanations or the thought process or inspiration involved or the "making of" an album I seriously would not prefer to know it. I just want Ki and just like a picture can speak a 1000 words, i'd like Ki to do the talking. Sometimes a certain degree of mystique is needed for every musician and as a dev fan I've come to respect that and don't wanna be screaming - "omfg ! give us more webisodes and shit". But again, I think I could be alone here.

No, you're not! :-) My thoughts exactly.

Apparently several persons in France have the luck to listen to "Ki" entirely for some hours, as I was able to read on a forum that I frequent where a person listens to him since yesterday.

i can totally understand this, but I'm sort of on the otherside of the fence on this one. I like the webeps, and explainations, etc etc. As an artist, I've always been taught about creative processes. So from an 'artistic' point of view, I love watching people work. I really enjoy seeing how people have pieced things together, and how they arrived at where they are now.
Does that make sense?

Sometimes the process is more important than the end result, is something I always got told. Whether it applies to music or not, I'm not sure. But I think at the end of the day as with all creative things, you do it for yourself and not anyone else.

Apeirophobia....

I love watching artists, musicians and writers work...finding out how they did it. Not to emulate or to copy, just out of interest.

I know it can "spoil the illusion" but...I love it...it's fascinating!

I agree with Amber. I like to see what other people were thinking when they make something. The process always affects the end result in ways that you cannot see unless you're shown the process.

But I can understand where powercozmic's coming from. I like to do that too. For me it's not really an issue, because even if someone tells me exactly how they created something and what they felt when they were creating it, that state of mind doesn't become my opinion of it. It more or less influences my own opinions.

So in the example of Ki, I would love to know how Devin came up with it and what he's thinking about it, because I'm really excited about the new Dev, kicking his drug addictions and spending time with his wife and child, and using this new lifestyle to create something amazing. I really love hearing that, but that is not what this new album will mean to me, you know? I've never been in the Dev's situation, so his thoughts are not my thoughts on the album. So it would be cool to know what inspired him, but I will still be inspired in my own way when I listen to it.

You know what I mean?

Didn't we have a "beware spoilers" thread for one album (Synchestra maybe?), where released songs, leaks etc could be discussed amongst those who wanted to.
Then people who wanted to 'stay in the dark' could.
Maybe we need such a thread for Ki.

Personally I like to watch the creative process and will more than likely listen to any song that is released before the album. Each to their own I say.

Yeah we did and i agree we should have a spoiler thread now that some french people have got hold of the album!!!
I listened to synchestra before it came out and i regreted it so this time im only listening to the teaser (which had me in convulsions i might add) and wait for the full album to come through my door in june!
