THAT's what happened to it!? That's feckin hilarious! That has to be the best reason for anything disappearing off a website I've heard..

Regarding the forum thing, i'd love to see the "Pages" part in the lower right corner, nudged out to the left a bit more, it's so close to the side that i think there are more, and keep fiddling after the scroll system, silly little detail, but it's been bugging me for quite some time now :? Other than that i love it as it is really, can't think of much else.

Why don't you just bookmark http://www.hevydevyforums.com/forums ? Gets you straight into the action ;)

It's my homepage, silly! I mean for the new fans!

Also, shoutbox is fun!

Ah, that just made my afternoon...

A lot of the issues with missing hacks for this version have to do with security.
The chief reason you can't lurk without logging in.

CyberMartyr wrote:P.S., due to the complexity of the upgrade and how new this version of PHPBB 3 is, I may not be able to re-apply all hacks that are installed on PHPBB 2 right away (they have not been written yet). The security and stability of the new software is what we are aiming for.

Thank you for your time and patience. Dev and Tracy have been extremely busy and I've had family illness so it took us a long time to sync up on this.

Cheers,
Doug

I miss the shoutbox as well. :(
With Dev's new career phase upon us however, expect some new impetus towards improving both the HDR site and these very pages. 8)

I really like how some forums work off of an, I believe either XML or XHTML code, that allows quick posts to be posted immediately without refreshing the page. Makes things very smooth and streamlined. Also allows for quicker editing, it opens the edit box right inside your post instead of redirecting you.

Dont ask me how to do it, I know nothing of the sort! I know teh basic HTML and thats aboot it!

We really need a shoutbox though. One forum I was on had one that updated about every 3-5 seconds so it was like regular chat room, was pretty cool!

hey dev, are you going to distribute the new CD's to places like barnes and nobles and other stores that sell the actual CD? If so I have a string I could pull with a friend at a Barnes and Noble in phoenix and get your CD displayed on the managers choice rack. Surprisingly a lot of people do look at it.

Let me know, and I'll tell him ;)

If not I would love to help you promote the album here in phoenix. I'm at just about every show in town promoting my own band and putting a second flyer on cars or giving a second flyer to someone wouldn't be too hard to do :)

Oh, and if you do end up doing a tour to this area PLEASE let me know. I can help you out down here. It's a war zone and if you contact the wrong promoter you'll never want to come here again. It sucks, but some of these guys in Arizona have no clue what they are doing and make Phoenix look like a crap town. :(

Ah I can think of a couple of things.

As people have already said, an offical chat thing would be good. IRC diseased my computer.
-Shoutbox too, those are cool :D
-And, could we have a quick reply option, rather than having to go into a new page to post a reply? Just an idea, but I love that option. :D

Apart from that, I think the forums are fine to be honest.

Can't wait til we can get this updated with proper street team info! :D

I miss the quick reply, that would be my number one request.
Shoutbox was a laugh so that would be worth a re-visit.

Other than that I think the forum is pretty spiffing.

Oops sorry, must of missed it.

In that case then.

I support Alucards idea! :D

Oh. I thought of my 'reward' for the street teaming... Can I have a high five? :D Heehee. I'm being silly of course. (Although I wouldn't turndown a high five anyway. :P )

Now that I think of it, the best reward any of us street teamers could ask for...a meet and greet! I think just meeting and getting to talk to Dev(and possibly get a pic or 2 in!) would be one of, if not THE best reward for our actions!

And thanks, Amber! haha
