Tis a beauty isnt it?

And Steph, how you liking the new Trivium? I was surprised with it after the FAIL that was The Crusade.

I think it's great! I've listened to it 5 times now, I do believe.

As for Mastodon, I'm having a difficult time finding their latest on my music sites. I figure they'll eventually offer it...
They better! :chain:

Lol like it or not I've had the album for a few weeks now. I will absolutely, 100% be buying it this coming Tuesday though, worth every penny. Plus I would love to rip it lossless so I can hear everything that's going on.

Sad song - but a beauty.

Listening to Rational Gaze - Meshuggah (obviously) I learned bout this song from watching the video on youtube, which is really awesome. Sounds like the dude is singing "I! Like! Juice!" instead of saying "Our light-induced." Lulz every time I hear it.

And I would be listening to a certain Ki preview ... if it were up!!!

And listening to much much Strapping today. My brother commented that my musical taste has gotten heavier and heavier ever since hearing Strapping for the first time. He's probably right.

The monotonous drone of my washing machine.
I'm not sad enough to watch the drum though.

Sound of my DVD drive ripping Steven Wilson Insurgentes to my iTunes library.
Gonna listen to it on my iPod whilst attacking the hedge in the garden.
If it proves to be hard work might need to switch it up for some Pig Destroyer or SYL.

Im thinking of doing a proper full cover of Rational Gaze. The one I have up right now is good and all, but its only about half the song! And now with my new Addictive Drums it will sound AWESOME! If only I could get that incredible snare sound Tomas has on the Nothing album...

^^ Dude! Do it - I'd listen to it straight away. Would there be vocals or instrumental? That song would b a beast to tackle - let me know when you get it up here.

Jambi - Tool. This song is a bitch. I mean that in the best of ways.

Instrumental, I could attempt vocals, but I doubt they would turn out very well...

Jambi is an awesome song. I love the rhythms, the bass parts are awesomely crafted and the overall vibe of the song is one of sheer awesome! haha

Seems like vocals would be pretty hard - I can only imagine it would be painful too
Perhaps Linchpin there could help you out. I listened to your first take of Rational Gaze - sounds great. I like it! Keep it up

As for Jambi - probably one of my favorite Tool songs. So I'm not the only one who likes Tool here? :P
To toot my own horn a bit, I'm doing my best to learn the song. Bass-wise of course. It's coming along better than I thought it would. I particularly like the part at ~3:56 after that monster slide. Since I don't really play with a pick most of the time, it requires some three-finger action which is not how I usually play either lol. Kinda got three things against me- I've got a j-bass, sans the frets, and I'm foregoing the pick. But, it's coming along.

The song's still a bitch though.

Anyways, Bleed is a cool song too. The video rules.
