Just what I was about to post - I think this album is physically unbelievable. It's the first album I've ever given 5/5 to on RYM, after only one listen - and since then I've listened to it tonnes and my opinion has only strengthened.

The best thing they've done IMO. Can't wait to get my hands on a copy next week!

Although I've not heard the new Alice front man. Any fans on here know what he's like? Someone told me it was the guy from The Cult.

No, Ian Astbury is singing for The Doors. William DuVall is fronting Alice In Chains. He's quite good - I haven't seen them live, but I watched them perform at a Heart concert a few years ago on TV.

I fucking love the new Isis! It's so much like their old stuff! More heavy this time, In the Absence of Truth was very mellow and not heavy much, but Wavering Radiant is an awesome balance!

As for the new Mastodon, I've been listening to it for weeks. It's such a strong album and The Last Baron is an astounding way to end the album.

I also found instrumental versions of Divinations and Oblivion. The stuff going on during Divinations is pretty ridiculous, as well as Oblivion.

Yeah the new Isis is damn fine indeed. Made me feel like the first time I heard Oceanic. Great stuff. The second that first riff hit it's first peak my head snapped toward my speakers and a big happy wave smashed into me. Heh heh.... Great stuff indeed.

Me too...Sucks he has such a big head that he wont get over the past and move on. I'd love to hear a new FF album with Dino, its obvious he still has it when it comes to writing riffs.

It's not like Christian is a bad guitarist though, Archetype and Transgression both had some songs on them that I would consider good FF.

They just arent Demanufacture though...

I've heard Dino ain't the easiest guy in the world to work with...

Burst album is absolutely incredible, took a few spins to get into it but once I did it sucked me in and was the only thing allowed in the player for weeks.
