I'd love this! There was a band in the UK called Interlock who had a zip file with all the wav snippets of a song for people to remix, the winner became the B-Side of the single. I didn't manage to finish mine on time but it was still a bit of a giggle

i mean despite the fact that NIN's Year Zero sucked ass, the concept of releasing the tracks to remix in ableton and other apps was a great idea. something Devy-esque would be supreme. giving fans a chance to explore sonic possibilities as well as better understanding how the songs are put together

Remixes can be fantastic.. Can also be awfully shit as well, though.. I could see why artists wouldn't want people dicking about with their songs..

Mash-ups, also.. They're feckin fantastic when done right.. I love a good mash-up.. I've a great one of SYL's Love? mixed with Crazy in Love by Beyonce..

Dev, if you ever consider doing this in fact, give us a month's warning so we can save to buy a new hard drive, having ALL the tracks in any song would probably eat 1 terabyte

I've been thinking about starting a thread asking Dev to show us at least a screenshot of one of his multitrack sessions, little did I know there was already that Alien video! I'd never seen that. Thanks to the person who mentioned it, I tracked it down on youtube.

God, I would LOVE just to HEAR all the individual sounds from those songs. Devin's skill with ambient sound and layering is so underrated...

Yeah Pitchshifter did something like this a few years ago, was pretty cool.
As someone else said though, my (uneducated) guess is that some of Devin's more multilayered songs will have gigabytes worth of tracks. Would be interesting to hear what's going on in the background though.

Well I would never have the EGO to think I could do something with Devin´s music thats even one lightyear close to his genius,
I would never dare touching even one Note and change it I even feel guilt when I am playing my inferior version of Truth on my crappy Guitar.
So remixing bad Idea in my opinion and also I´d get very pissed of if anyone would mess around with devins songs.
And Syl mashed up with Beyoncé man thats evil very evil....
