My copy of Steven Wilson's Insurgentes FINALLY arrived! I've only had it since like November but I'm glad I finally have the physical cd!

Mine finally came too! Thank goodness... I was beginning to wonder where it was

Haha check out the credits for the song Get All You Deserve - Wilson credits himself with some interesting parts Oh and score! Tony Levin is featured in a couple songs. Awesome.

Accelerated Evolution special edition. Been wanting to hear Project EKO forever, this should be fun!

Even more awesome, if you look it says additional guitars were recorded at Red Room in Tampa Florida...I know people who have recorded there and such! lol (considering I live about 5 minutes from Tampa...lol)

Oh it gets worse and I've been kicking myself non stop for it...

I had an internship at a local studio here. I couldn't make it most of the time because I was still in High school and had that shit to deal with.

But I distinctly remember the guy I was working with, George, telling me he knew Steven Wilson and Gavin Harrison personally and whenever they were around here would come to the studio and hang out and what not...

Looking back I realize I should have said "fuck school" as I had in the past and would probably be somewhere in the music industry right now...Please, do tell me how stupid I am I need it to be reinforced...

The studio I trained in was in Vancouver, and Gene Hoglan was in there tracking drums for a band called (I think) Hellvis. He came into the apartment section of the studio to grab a drink, that was slightly surreal. I was buried deep in one of the written tests.

It's cool, but just keep in mind that meeting a high-profile musician/engineer/whatnot in a studio doesn't necessarily equal an industry contact-- I wouldn't kick myself too much.

Well it was more the fact that the guy I was working under was a personal friend of Wilson...I'm sure I could have pulled at least something off...lol

A couple of 0.066" strings and FTATR (finally). I also found City and The New Black on a Norwegian online shop and they cost 649 NOK. Which is about £65.

oh damn it sucks that you passed that up - but you did what you had to do, right? Perhaps it just wasn't meant to be.
