I'm making a movie of sort for the album, been interviewing myself all the time, and I had the show filmed, so you'll see it...for sure.

That sounds absolutely awesome. Movie/documentary stuff is always cool :D

Yeah, I hope there's a stellar "special edition" of Ki, as it sounds like there will be. Also, maybe autographed copies...? That would be cool. :D

And personally, from a fan stand point...I would rather Dev progress into the musician he is, making big heavy epic shit, than be 40 and trying to relive his youth....Slayer anyone? They're 45, still trying to sing about evil shit wearing spiked armbands. I couldn't think of something more gay than that. lol.

Um... Judge much? Slayer are untouchable. Being 45 and better than they were when they were younger is a feat in itself. So Kerry wears an armband... you have a cartoon for an avatar. You see how rediculous that is? Who gives a fuck what anyone else does? Questioning guys who have been masters at their craft for more than 2 decades shows your ignorance, not their gayness.

Wow...really? Ya went there huh? Dude, you didn't invent Slayer. Stop taking it (life, Slayer, my post) so seriously. Really. You're gonna give yourself an ulcer or something. Hey, Dev made an alien puppet. How ridiculous is that? People do what they do, and someone, anyone, you, me, someone is gonna have some kind of an opinion. Go get laid, eat some ice cream and deal with it. I never questioned Slayer's wonderful legacy, I questioned them being 45 and still trying to be 25. Big difference. Hope the posters on your wall didn't take offense. lol Jeez....if so pat Mr. King on the head and tell him that he can cuddle up with my gay-ass avatar lol. Some people......

Even the Almighty Dev said there's something ridiculous about grown men grunting on stage. Hint hint.

Unfortunately, the internet gives a voice to the ignorant and all are equal. I assure you, having access to their offstage personalities, they are not trying to be 25. Out of any band that exists today, I give Slayer total credit for being a no bullshit, absolutely pro thrash band. Musically speaking, they are better at what they do now than they were. Lombardo is a better drummer, Kerry and Jeff are better guitarists and Tom's voice can still tackle music he wrote 20+ yrs ago. Very few bands (Dev Included) can claim that. Furthermore, doing so while maintaining artistic integrity... hmmm... I'm struggling to find a peer.
You took the message personally, I did not. Facts are facts. Slayer are just as punishing as they were 25 yrs ago and their fans show their appreciation nightly for that in small arenas all over the world.

I'm refraining from saying anything negative about Dev. However, the creepy rimmings that most on this board wish to give him, leads one to question the childish nature of the posters. Dev is just another guy. He happens to be an exceptional guitarist and composer. He also happens to have an excellent back-catalogue. I see no reason to believe future output will be anything less than stellar. However, he's just a guy. He's not Almighty and he's not a God. He's just an average guy, just like the guys in Slayer.
You need to take things less seriously and refrain from personal attacks.

Classic!!

Are we to assume that this is the signature Peavey Tele? Can anyone find a pic that hasn't been sepia'd? I assume that it is some sort of blonde lacquer finish... being able to see the wood grain... I don't recall Dev being specific on any of that.

Thanks for posting.

Was Devin not primarily working on a stratocaster with Peavey? I don't remember mention of a telecaster, but that could be my error.

I also remember reading some business about a V-style guitar as well... wonder how these guitars are coming along? :P

Yeah I thought he was working on a strat too. Not the one in the other pics though, that's the one with the yin/yang logo, he uses that on the Safe Home DVD too. I think Dev said that the guitar wasn't done yet, same for the amp, and that the 'metal' guitar was nothing but thin air for now.

Im pretty sure the one in the pics is the one that he was shown with in that artwork he posted a while ago, so its a peavey alright.

Wow! Great to hear all the updates. Thanks Dev!
I don't know what I'm more excited about - the new album or the new amp you're designing!
Both sound immensely intriguing. And a movie to boot as well?!
Dev, you're spoiling the fuck out of us :)
But I ain't complaining, hehe.
I recommend the new Sepultura album to those who haven't heard it yet. 'A-Lex'. This is one fucking listenable metal record! It's a work of art no doubt, and I'm in love with Andreas' guitar tone. Jean's snare too.
But I digress - back to Dev. Sounds like you're on one hell of a journey towards the completion of this album some day. So many things to bring to it since the Ziltoid days. I really like the photos that were leaked from the performance because they remind me of the Infinity days - a time when I was more excited about Dev music than anyone or anything else. And that shaved-head was the image of those times.
Again, Wow!

You HAVE lost some pounds there Dev! You was a "Ziltoid" in the Ziltoid-era,now you look like back in the Infinity-era...does this mean the Ki is the new Infinity? Something like that I suppose....I really can't wait for the stuff...I saw the DTP logo than the pictures from the concert....I really can't wait. I want to preorder it now!!!!
