Been dabbling around in ambient for the past coupla days, and came out with four tracks, kinda influenced by Hummer. Not entirely sure what people will think of them, but hey.

This is track two of the four:

Very cool! It's a little more tense in atmosphere/less relaxing than I find Devlab or The Hummer, but still quite interesting soundscapes. Sort of post-apocalyptic imagery, for me.

Hey, quick question... I know next to nothing about video editing of any sort (audio's my field!), how would you go about creating something like that for youtube with just a picture and a song? I've been thinking of doing that for my music as a little extra promotion.

I agree with what Josiah says here, very cool indeed! I love soundscape-y sort of stuff like this, dark and evil is lovely. I enjoy creating similar (though not as well done) stuff myself. Great stuff to put on and forget you are even listening to, or to drift off with headphones on. Groovy.

And I am also curious about how one would go about creating a basic video like you did. I don't have XP as otherwise I could use Moviemaker or whatever it is called.

Thanks guys. much appreciated

I use Sony Vegas for videos, and to do the picture thingy, I just drag the image that I want on to a video track, and extend itby click on the right-hand edge of the image and dragging to the end of the audio track (that hopefully you've created already). Hope that helps :)
