Hey, thanks Biert! Thats great if more people can hear all that great music!

I originally un-stickied this thread as I intended to retire the project. I know not everyone got a hard copy of the CD, but it turned out to be time consuming to make them all.

However, I also wanted to retire the project to make way for a couple of other similar projects, which I have kind of put on the back burner for the moment also. Like HDAS, I will want to get lots of people involved again, if there is intrest. Although it will be far better than HDAS was.

They are, however, still cooking. Just slowly. Like a fine haggis.

Since we've been having a whole bunch of new folks on the forums lately, I figured it was time for a...

BUMP

:D

Anyway, here's the deal:

HevyDevy AllStars is a compilation album put together in 2006, celebrating the talent of all members of this forum and their bands. The record consists of 18 tracks in various styles, some of which are covers, most of which are original material. The whole thing was initiated, mixed and even manufactured and distributed by the lovely but hairy BlazingMonga. Who also gets credit for the artwork (heckler :P).

There are various ways of acquiring this lovely music. One way: Soundclick: http://www.soundclick.com/HevyDevyAllStars

However, as far as I know Soundclick offers limited mp3 quality and requires registration for downloads. So I've also put the thing up on my own webhosting: http://dump.dirtybierty.com/HDAS.zip but please, go easy on my bandwidth :P It's approx. 180MB, 320kbps MP3

May you all enjoy it!

And maybe... Just maybe... There will be an HDASII? We surely seem to have a whole new generation of musical talent lately.

There will, but it will be a bit different. Hopefully soon I can think about it proper, but I can't really devote myself to it at the moment.

Woop!

I would also enjoy being involved in such an auspicious event.

Hello, Mr. Mongo. It's been a while, but I finally managed to get my account reactivated here. I may have inquired about this before, but I would like a copy of my track that you mastered for the compilation. I love the mastering you did, and the removal of the annoying clicks made it so much better. I was wondering if I could get a version without the fade out at the end, but with the mastering intact. If so, please get a hold of me. I'm going to include it on a full album and I want to give you credit for the mastering.

Thanks,
- Adam

Holy crinkly bums...I remember you asking about this before! My apologies for not acting on this sooner.

My only problem really is the transfer of such a large file. What do you recommend?

Well, we could do what I did for getting it to you: upload the file to a website somewhere and then I can download it from there. If this will work, just let me know the URL from where I can download the file.

Also, thanks again so much for this project. It's still a little scary how much talent there is among the forum users. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised when we're all fans of one of the greatest musicians to ever walk the Earth. I'm almost literally drooling onto my keyboard awaiting Ki.

No worries dude!

Am uploading to rapidshare just now, but it is a little slow and I have to sleep soon. Maybe if it doesn't finish today I will send it tomorrow.

Keep reminding me if you don't get it very soon!
