Am I the only one to ever hypothesize that "Ki" might be a double-entendre of sorts? Since "Ki" sounds like "key"... in true Dev-nerd fashion, I came across this idea because every time I hear the word "key" (or in this case "Ki") it makes me think of "There's only one key to unlock the door..." So, yeah: put that in your mouth and chew it. It's delicious. Or maybe really lame.

This is awesome. I'm actually shocked that my brain didn't do the exact same thing because it just *loves* to do stuff like that. People can scarcely tell me anything without one of their words reminding me of dialogue from somewhere or other.

I'm going to have to listen to Infinity now from start to finish.

i wonder if there are any other guests on the album besides duris.

A long time ago he mentioned sending demos out to others musicians, it would be cool if he had a whole bunch of people around to do stuff we wants done. To be honest I hope Ki will have a range of (female) vocalists, trompeteers, flutists, harpists, and so on.


And although "When it's done" is still the best measure for a release date, Devin indicated that he expected to be done late spring/early summer. It's by no means a deadline though

God damn it Dev I can't tell you how much that post has me geared up for this release. You're the only musician I can find that mixes up genres in such a way that never gets boring for me AND speaks to me in such weirdly similar ways to the way my own thoughts seem to function. Every one of your albums has opened my ears and mind to new musical styles and philosophies and I'm just dying to hear what you've come up with now.

Hot damn this album is gonna fuckin' rule. Ok, I'm gonna stop kissing ass and spewing Hyperbole now. I'm sorry. Heh heh.
One question though, has anyone ever considered a project involving Dev and someone like Mike Patton? It's thinking about things like that that make this 'orrible little world so much easier to deal with. Oooh, or maybe Dev and Neurosis. Or Tin Hat Trio, or Estradasphere and Secret Chiefs 3?!?! Aghhh!!! My mind!!

I had a dream he was playing a gig at the Islington Academy in London, and I only found out while I was walking past it, but it was £40 to get in and I only had £32 on me! I've come to the conclusion that I've been going there too much, and listening to him too much, and need to get a job.
