I have no quibbles with my Church of Scotland education either, it was a good, broad, one and I'm glad I went there to experience that. I'm also glad they confined religion to the RE classes, except where it was part of history lessons. I do remember there was one Catholic girl who attended the school and she didn't take part in the morning assembly - which we could never understand when we were very wee. RE, or RME, is compulsory in schools here too and they have to cover all the major religions and discuss the pros and cons of 'controversial' subjects which is good. Next to the art rooms, the RME room in my son's high school is probably the funkiest to look at, as far as decoration goes.
I have a map to the Kingdom but was forced to surrender the keys.
