Speaking of any news...

If you happen to tour...Pretty please come to England. :D
And if you would want a photographer for anything, I would be happy to oblige :D

I thought I would move the thread on from nipple tweaking a little :P

I agree with the Amber. Come to England and I shall come see you. We will make a Hevydevy-meet and shit. I'd even go fucking AWOL from the Navy if you came to Europe.

Going back a few pages to the talk of the Fractal Audio AxeFX, I figured i'd throw a few words into the wind.
I bought an AxeFX Ultra about a month or so ago, I also bought a Diezel VH4 but while i've been recovering from RSI what playing I have been doing has been DI through the AxeFX and headphones to simply practise and experiment.
Frankly, this is one of the very, very, VERY best digital units ever made. I've had Line6 gear and never really liked it, always been a valve purist bitch (yeah one of those guys) and while the AxeFX doesnt quiiiiiiite get there, it still seemingly makes all other digital software/hardware just, cease to be of any significance. I've never heard such intense effects quality. The reverbs and delays are utterly beautiful, all chorus effects lushious and full. The range of EQ and other fun things in this unit are staggering. I play a PRS Custom 24 into it, and when my Diezel is back from my tech's i'll be running the AxeFX in its effects loop mostly, but the AxeFX really does make me think about simply using this thing DI for all live/studio purposes. This thing makes some seriously big tone. Love it to bits, best investment i've made!

To anyone who is curious about it, i'd quite highly recommend giving it a go and seeing it you dig it, but be prepared to spend quite a while sitting down and playing with it. Its a unit you must be rather patient with, and it taught me that haha!

If only I had the money for some o' these trinkets...........I could join you in the nerd fest that is this thread.
One day all will be mine. HAHAHAHAHA!
I put new pickups in my guitar the other day if that does anything for yez.

I'm trying desperately hard to stay awake so ignore my ramblings if you've got anything better to do.
Funny story. I awoke at 5:30PM on Saturday and am trying to get back into a normal sleeping patern because I've gotta be up at 8AM on Monday. I've decided to stay awake 'till 6PM Sunday and have a 12+ hour sleep to fling myself back into reality. I also have the worst tooth pain in the world. I needed to get it out but I've left it go for so long now that my gum has swollen up to the size of a marble and I'm in agony with only 2 strong painkillers left. At least it won't be too hard to stay awake.
Dev, if your reading this put a bell 53 seconds into track 3 on Ki for me. Cheers............I can dream.

Ah but lots of pricey gear is lots of fun :)

Wish I had my recording setup working, would love to post up a few recordings of some of the weird noises i've managed to make up this thing. Damn interfaces and my newness to all this...

Garage band rocks :D Shame its only available for Mac though. I have Cubase, but I can't figure it out at all. I can work out how to make a midi or audio file, and how to set up the sound, but beyond that I get lost in all its programs and banks. Or something.
I'm hoping to get Reason from a friend of mine though, apperently that's pretty good.

EDIT: I just tried a demo of reason... Bloody hell, it's confusing. But I figured out how to make some form or noise on it at least. :D Seems to have a lot to it which is cool. Just need to learn what any of it means. Anyone have any experience with it?

Oh and Atari - Don't get my hopes up, haha.

Even I managed a few wee tootles in Garage Band. It is good fun for non-musical people like me, but I've also seen folk who know what they're doing produce some rather excellent tunes out of it.
