Widdershins, as in "left-handed, wrong, or contrary direction". Also the Old English word for Wienerschnitzel.

Blast. Was hoping for another Discworld nut. xD

Is that a game, then? 'Cause I'm busy broadcasting my total ignorance about gaming in the gaming thread. Heh.

There were two games, but it s a HUGE book series.

Well, I say series. Lots of series based in a singular place (called the Discworld) which all sort of co-mingle, sometimes. xD

Freezing you say?! Would you laugh at me if I said it's damn cold here in California, at a reading of 47 F?! My feet and hands are like icicles! =O

I'm a native Southern Californian (as is my mother, which makes me "2nd generation"), so I know all about what decent weather should be like. A place with decent weather is a place where 47 F is considered a "cold snap", not a "heat wave". A place with decent weather is a place where you never have a high of 22 F for the day. A place with decent weather is a place where it's not so cold you want to kill yourself, only it's impossible to commit suicide by slitting one's wrists because the blood instantly freezes over the wound. Ain't I a cheery fellow?

Actually I am generally a happy bastard. Mathematics & music bring great joy, though I couldn't carry a tune with a kazoo to save me. [REPLACE smiley-face wearing horn-rimmed glasses and a propeller-beanie here]

Oooh really?! Yeah Californians are spoiled weather-wise. We really don't have seasons per se, just mild to moderate fluctuations in weather and climate. BUT - I'm up in Northern California, and even 47 here is getting a little nippy. Sorry to hear about the crap weather, I can't even imagine 22 F. Jeez, that's rough. Hope it improves a little bit :)

Dude, mathmaticians are all secret Church Organ players. (The Church Organ, of course, being SUPER HARD. >_<)

Widdershins, as in the directional rotation of the Discworld?

This is true. I study physics, so I do quite a bit of math. And the organ fucking rules and is so much fun. Ever played one? Quite possibly one of the most glorious instruments ever.

Also, we're all a bunch of cheery fellows, here. :D

See? I've got the fucking smiley to prove it.

Never got much past playing Hot Cross Buns on the piano when in single digits.

Tried to read some Discworld book in original once, gave up after few pages. It's near impossible to understand for non-native speaker without constant trips to the dictionary, so I guess it's impossible for me to discuss Discworld in English :).

We have great translations though, Pratchett is i'm-pissing-myself hilarious.

Rejoice! Your late Christmas present has arrived!

...or something like that...

Obviously I'm new to this board but been a Dev Fan for years. I'm from Kiel in Germany (the northern part of it, no Lederhosen here, sorry :P ) and stumbled upon this forum by browsing wiki, hoping for any news of a new Devin Album. If I'm not at work, you'll probably catch me playing a few games online (DoW, CoH, HOMMK) or waste my time on IRC and all kinds of forums.

That should do for now, might post a little more if my fever is down a bit. Damn cold got me good this year.

Welcome!! Hope you feel better soon, there is much Devin to discuss.

Check out the "Ki" and "Any Chance of some News" threads, there's lots of Devin posts in them, as well as general info on stuff happening. :D
