Hadn't put this album on in ooh....about 6 months. Still stunning.

It's the only Katatonia I've got, so any suggestions.....

I like Viva Emptiness a whole bunch. Think Dunkel would agree with that one, too. He's got a thing for Omerta.

dont go around divulging my darkest secrets you!

but yes, yes i do

Katatonia - Omerta

I figured that secret was safe enough. I won't scare anyone off with any other, ah...details.

Hmmm I've heard a couple songs from Shadows of the Sun - really beautiful stuff :D I just heard the for the first time maybe a month ago. Eos is great, as is Let the Children Go, and Like Music.

Can you recommend any of their other stuff, they've peaked my curiosity! =D

I think Shadows of the Sun is the only ambient album they've made, most other albums are black metal and some avant-garde shizzle.

Oh really? I didn't know that - they're Norwegian, yes?

Well, Shadows of the Sun is really beautiful, kind of have to be in the mood for it - but I really do like it. After hearing such a peaceful album, I'd be kind of afraid to hear them doing black metal

thou art in error good feller, Lyckantropen themes is also ambient, as are the "silence" sessions, ergo i recommend you teachings in silence and lyckantropen themes, as well as the Uno soundtrack and the Svidd Neger soundtrack, ALSO get Perdition City and Themes from william blake's marriage...

Isis - In Fiction

I haven't really heard Isis before... someone lent me this CD. I like it so far - the dude's voice is unique, but I think I can get into it. We'll see. :D

Isis is the shit. Get Oceanic, Celestial, and Panopticon. And if you like them check out Nights Like These (a bit heavier, less ambience) and Cult of Luna.

I have Panopticon - so far so good. In Fiction is really nice, I like that song a lot.

I think I'd also like the heavier stuff - I like heavy :D

panopticon is great. actually most isis is very good. i trust you've heard Neurosis? and if you like that sort of music you gotta go back to stuff like Swans too - i'm sure you'd love them!

my favorite isis is actually In the Absence of Truth - their last full length. It's their most definitive album. Oceanic is another favorite.
