Listened to the album. Really really good. All Nightmare Longs probably my favourite track at the moment.

Someone should put *SPOILER ALERT* on the thread title

Haha, no need, I just jumped to the last page to give my own opinion of these songs I've heard.

DO NOT WANT.

I think there could be also something wrong with me, not understanding the possible greatness hidden in these tracks,
but it's just not doing the trick for me.

Na-ah.

Continue.

That track has such a damn catchy chorus!

I have to say "That Was Just Your Life" is probably my favorite at the moment, epic...

I totally hate the fact that they're playing every riff in multiples of 4. So predictable and long-winded...

Hmm. It's good. Some catchy parts and some good thrashy moments, lots of decent groove too.
Doesn't do much for me on the whole, though. I think I'm just getting out of most metal in general, really. :(
Of course, it could also be the fact that the production is just fucking white noise, crazy clipping 99% of the time. You'd think people would realize by now that a constant brick wall just gets tuned out...

I have 320kbps mp3's of the album and it doesnt clip all that much for me, My Apocalypse is a clip-fest though.

Bitrates don't influence clipping I think.

One rip or the other might make a difference. But there are so many leaks around right now, that has to be a whole bunch of different rips and you're the first one I've heard saying it "doesn't clip all that much".

We'll just have to wait for the final release in a couple of days to see how bad it really is.

My Apocalypse is by far the clipping king of the album. I really hope that CD quality will be better.

Apparently, the leak is the eventual retail CD. Some French shop sold it 2 weeks early, supposedly.

Also I think the album kicks ass. Unforgiven III was my least favorite track at first, but on second listen I really dig it now. I think Metallica really reinvented themselves on this album and answered the question the 90's couldn't : "Where did Metallica go?!"

Hate to quote myself, but yea Biert i knew ;)
