Looks like this time they actually spent a little bit of time on writing and rehearsing

That they have! I am absolutely psyched for this album now. This song is just a testament to how good the rest of the album is going to be!

Listened to both songs..im not impressed, better than st anger but nothing special.

but then again i don't like metallica at all so this post is pretty pointless

I would say something about Scar On Broadway, but I'm not going to be confrontational about what music people listen to! Lol

I'm not to enthusiastic either (I think I just don't like bands with bad drummers anymore, hur hur), but gotta give the guys credit for giving a shit, making some guitar harmonies and stuff. It just doesn't sound lazy, contrary to St. Anger's songs. Goodluck to them, hope whole record will be good, reading barrages of insults from dissapointed fans was funny only once .

I thought it was really disjointed. Generally very bland, almost directionless, and smacked of a band that's run out of ideas.

Also, the drumming is so, so piss-poor.

cmon, those are the guys who made us go "OH MY HOLY SHOES!!!111" or some other random interjective comment when we were 12 year old metal wankers by playing stuff like One!

Anyway... well, you guys are the metallica fans.
I just love a bunch of their songs, and understand their rightful place on metal history (napster events included). The song is pretty much just... not impressive anymore, for anyone who isn't a fan, i guess. Although the solo section is pretty kick ass

I'm not going to listen to anything until I get the album in my hands and listen to the album in its entirety and judge it with a fine tooth comb.

The first half has too clean vocals, the second half is a bit messy, but overall I like it.

Not too bad, has some cool parts. A bit long though, and I really wish Hetfield would bring back some power to his voice.
