That album is also known as ''Inside the Tah Mahal''. Click here for samples. I'm also very thrilled about this new Dev album, sounds very interesting and I'll sure be buying it as soon as it gets released.

Yep. Although I've heard very similar flute music on several relaxation-type CDs.

Well its not just Inside the Taj Mahal.. The "Inside" albums are a bit of a series..

Inside (/Inside the Taj Mahal); Inside II; Inside the Great Pyramid; Inside the Cathedral; Inside the Taj Mahal, Volume 2; Inside Canyon de Chelly; Inside Monument Valley..

Way to be specific, Dev!

oh man this is sounding great already, the gear, the idea, and a hint with the 'inside' sound....
its very true in saying that a true Dev fan will embrace this with all its worth even if it takes a long time,
I may be assuming too much here, but it sounds as though this next work of art will be a very honest one, not to say the others aren't,
but more honest and open in terms of spirituality, or at least in the form of human expression, correct me if I'm wrong..... thoughts?
thanks for the update Dev, muuuuuuuuuuch appreciated. all hail \m/-

I find the fact that you're aiming for a more 'honest' approach to music whilst still actively looking for a 'dark' sounds pretty intriguing. I await with baited breath Mr. T!

Hey Dev i was just wondering today whilst listening to City, do you ever still sing these songs or any SYL songs for that matter, you know just for fun or so. Some of those vocals are pretty insane and i was just wondering if u still did them:P
Not that im asking for audio of such singing...

When it's whatever it needs to be at that particular moment, it goes as far in that direction as possible...and with purpose.

The black is 5x more than any black I've done...and very clear...not really evil though, just 'infinite' -ish
The white is more pure than anything I've done...babies could listen to it...(although I doubt they would)

This record is not about metaphor, it's literal.

I am going to work with some new companies on some pretty cutting edge stuff.

The whole record is done with Ableton Live 7 Suite...THE most amazing music tool on the planet.

It will dominate...sometimes, and soothe other times.

It makes Ziltoid's complexity seem like kindergarden, It has parts that sound like Eko, and a whole bunch of minimal, organic clean parts that illustrate those parts well.

When it does let go though...watch out...I've been sober for 3 years now, and everything annoys me.

soon...
