Hey Dev thanks alot for the update, Im sure your signiture stuff would be out of this world, i dont know why you felt like scrapping it because the way you talk about it you like it alot... You certainly know what your looking for when it comes to gear. Whatever you make I will give it the time it needs if i dont get it, i like things that take a long time to sink in if thats what you mean, Devlab takes a long time but if you sit and listen to it you get a diffrent feel everytime depending on what is happening in your life, sometimes it can lift you up sometimes it can pull you down. Anyway just keep doing whatever you want to do and i hope to hear more from you soon. Thanks alot

The Dev wrote:The guitars would be alien nature wood freak vibration logs... 6 and 7, looking something like some Warwick basses...or something...

Well that's best kind bit of self whoring IMO. If you're going into whole signature schtick, make it unique (seen that 8-string Ibanez iceman of Fredrik Thordendal? I don't know if it's "signature" but it's crazy, unique and says OMG LOL LOOK THORDENDAL from miles away).

It's amazing to have news from The Dev!! I Can't wait to listen to the new stuff!!
Heavy or mellow who cares, the important thing is that it's "Devish" (From Deviland!!! :oops: sorry for the terrible joke!)

for one thing, a townsend amp would be the absolute shit, and as for the lloyd webber;

can anyone seriously say that they wouldn't want like, jesus christ superstar or phantom of the opera rescored by devin? are you shitting me? that'd be the most fucked up, awesome thing ever.

i'm no musical fan, but surely someone can see what i'm getting at.

Jesus Christ Superstar WOULD BE AMAZING, but that's beside the point.

As far as the new album goes, I'm excited. I have no worries about time or pressure, because the best Devin stuff comes out when it comes entirely from his brain/heart, and I'll wait for however long that'll take.

Hell, Smile took 37 years, and that's not even my cup of tea and I can still see the brilliance.

Take however long you need Dev, your real fans will be happy when the time comes.

I absolutely despise musicals, but I have to admit, a musical written by Devin Townsend in his own style, would be intriguing.

So Dev have you got any more song titles or perhaps an album name? I know you mentioned some earlier but i know you change your mind more often than most!!

this may come as a weird question, but you know how you said the album may be too dark for some? Is there anything we should listen to so that we may PREPARE ourselves for the subjugation that is your new album so that our minds dont explode?
