Anyone else quietly praying for another appearance from Deborah Tyzio? Her vocal on Pixillate practically paralyses me every time I hear it.

In a good way, of course.

Checking out Wizard amps tommorow, Fender is too clean...need a plexi that can clean up, but still crush when needed...WAY less gain than before though...Using the Timefactor pedal and getting some killer delays... using my EJ strat, a lespaul custom with 81s and my old tele that I recently installed Gibson 59s in...still using the Maxon od808 for boosts.

It's another concept album (#2 to Ziltoids '1'...) exploring the meditations and the demons, letting them all have their say...we'll see what happens.

Schweeet! Bluegrass to big band to fusion and metal? Ah, can't wait. Normally I'd scoff at a band or musician saying this, but a few musicians get a free pass from me. When one has never disappointed musically, that's a guaranteed free pass.

So Dev were the wizard amps what you were looking for? Are you doing alot of vocals on this record or is it mainly guitar?

Wizard was cool, but as a 4x12, it didn't breathe enough for the cleans.

Theyre making me a combo, open back 50 watt which should be interesting.

Also, I've been contacted by a company to do 'signature' stuff (God , I hate that term...EVERYONE has a signature thing, based primarily around some archaic throwback to the 80's where it actaully meant something...spoilt little fucking kids DEMANDING a 'signature' instrument that people sell for 300$...I'd rather pay for awesome than endorse CRAP)

That being said, this big manufacturer approached me about being their new 'dude' with an amp and guitar line...and if they're SERIOUS, I'll make it the best shit ever, if they balk and want to slap my name on a beginners line, I'll stick with my Fenders and Wizards and whatever I'm experimenting with currently...

'My' amp would be perfect clean, van halen and metallica with seemless switching and stereo line outs that send me huge verbs and shit to foh, AND it would do pod esque direct...with a cool floorboard, full killer tube and awesome wood. built in compressor, od808, wah, volume and whammy...and an amazing reverb and delay with spillover...

The guitars would be alien nature wood freak vibration logs... 6 and 7, looking something like some Warwick basses...or something...

Or, I'll stick with my shit I'm frankensteining together currently.

On the new album, LOTS of guitar, lots of everything. Ziltoid wasn't about the music or the story, it was the metaphor. There's not alot of metaphor on this one, and plenty of awesome. It gets very dark in places and light in others and is a story. (fuck it, I'm from the 70s...andrew lloyd webber, baby.) Today I was tempted to scrap the whole thing.

Lots of folks won't get it, and that is absolutely fine with me. The less that do, the better.

Lovin' guitar...playing lots without a pick lately.

Then I hope the manufacturers come through for you and make what you want as that would be really splendid. :D

Good luck with it!

Exciting.

I wonder what the story could be...maybe an autobiographical tale

That would be the greatest line of signature stuff ever. Make it so.

You are damn right  . If I were a spoilt little kid, I would say 'DADDY, BUY ME ANY DEVIN TOWNSEND SIGNATURE-STUFF!' :P .
