Wait... Which holidays? I can't think of any ones coming up. He doesn't mean he's going to hold off on recording till Thanksgiving or Christmas, is he?

Doesn't matter, I guess. When Devin records, Devin records. And I will listen.

If you say that because you think that minimalist music doesn't involve layers, you have never been more wrong. It's ALL ABOUT layers.

It's very different and very special...very strange...very minimal...deeply satisfying and sometimes very heavy in a 'new' way...it may be too dark for some. I've worked on this record more than almost any record I've ever done next to Ocean Machine. Sometimes I think it's brilliant and sometimes it freaks me out.

I can't wait to hear this new songs!

Never is too dark, I think... Or too heavy, or too experimental. The real important fact is that this music gets into the soul, because its quality and the amount of feeling it has. And I'm sure this will happens... Like all the other Dev's albums!

I'm really excited with those news... Greetings from Spain!

Have you guys ever actually listened to any minimalist composers? They're minimalist in the sense that they use very few musical ideas, but then endlessly layer and morph them. Layering is a huge point of minimalist music.

With that said, I don't know if that's literally what he meant, but he's a strong songwriter, and if he writes a stripped down record with songs he's been working on crafting for this long, I'm sure it will be awesome.

This sounds fantastic.

After the Hummer I have full confidence that Devin can do minimalism.

I'm especially excited that he said he's put so much work into it... the recent albums (New Black and Ziltoid), while good, seemed rushed.
