hey i'm new here. My name is Rob and i'm 27. i've been a DT/SYL fan for about 7 years or so when a friend recommended SYL to me. I was hooked instantly! DT's sound and voice are amazing.
I'm a hobby musican and have been in an online band... of sorts... for about the last 5 years. Band name is Pariah Saint. I rigged my own home studio in the corner of my dining room with some of the cheapest gear i could snag. I write all of the backings and do them up in Reason and use a mix of DKFH and samples from my own kit. I record all my guitars and bass with CEP2... well, not now. My recording computer has been dead since September
anyhow, my buddy Enrique Romero does most of the lead work. I haven't recorded much at all otherwise because we got a new little australian shepherd puppy and she is very very VERY time consuming.
I'm currently obsessed with "Canada," "Bad Devil," "War," "Solar Winds," "Pixilate," and "Vampira"
my favorite bands include SYL, DTB, Megadeth, Metallica, Type O Negative, Slayer, Lacuna Coil and indie pop stuff like The Shins, Elbow, Colin Hay, and Iron & Wine.

I've been into Devin's music for a ~year now. A guy in the other forum told me about Terria and I bought it and the rest is history.
Besides Dev and SYL my favourite bands are Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, Van Der Graaf Generator, Dream Theater, Yes, Rush and good ol' Metallica. I guess those are pretty much the most common favourites around here, so I'm cool, right?
I've played guitar for some years now, and I'd say my biggest influence today is, what a surprise, Devin. By listening to his stuff I realised that music isn't all about playing those 666bpm-arpeggio-tremolo-sweeping-solos. I am very grateful to Devy for that.
