Talk about other artists here (even though they all rip off Meshuggah)

I haven't heard much of the cd. Do you prefer it compared to their other albums? I've heard some divided opinions.

I've only heard Demigod, like twice

I do like The Apostasy, although the drums (especially the kick) is waaaay too loud. But that seems to be a problem with lots of metal these days.

Just listen to the intro's to "Slaying The Prophets Ov Isa" and "Kriegsphilosophie" and you're sold ;)

EDIT: Oh, and the singer of Nevermore has a (small) guest part. He still makes me want to throw up.

Yeah, many have the kick very loud these days. I also prefer it a little more quiet actually. And the Nevermore singer has kind of a different voice indeed. I wonder how it sounds together with Behemoth's music.

I've heard about every cd with them, from their black metal days untill recent times so that's why I was wondering a bit about the new one. Since some described it as a bit "different".

Anyway, thanks for the answer Biert and Dunkelheit. Someone I know also recommended it recently but only his opinion didn't help. Now that more people also recommended it I guess I'll have to check it out ;)

Was listening to This Godless Endeavour last night and talking to my fiancee about how this particular singer seems to divide so many opinions. What is it that makes you want to throw up?

She thought he sounded every bit as silly as any other metal singer!

I think he has a great voice and don't really see what could be particularly bad about it. This whole thing is very strange.

'tis quaint indeed, there be times in which i find his voice particularly vomitive, and there is other times wherein i find myself singing along

Scarve - Blackloader

I like Nevermore guy's voice. Has that dramatic tint, like opera singer but without trying to reach very-very-very-high-C. Fits nicely to music IMO.
