i put a question the the singers out there... what techniques are good for training you voice?
Does one either have it or not have it... in terms of being able to sing.?
And What are peoples views on using vocal effects...?

Now until i get my alesis firewire sound desk i havent a good way of getting my mic into my computer.... so i am kind of forced to go through my usb interface which is really just dedicated to guitar... it has lots of effects for a guitar. For the moment this is my only device to get my vice to my PC... any advice on using this set up the best way possible...? And considering im a crap vocalist... what can be a handy choice of effects to make me sound better?

Generally, even good singers need a little bit of training, if only to keep up on good body alignment (ESSENTIAL) and breath support (the two go hand in hand, for the most part). Singers of lesser ability will learn how to properly support their voice and be on pitch. I recommend vocal training, in addition to to anything that gets you more "in your body" ( Alexander technique has worked wonders for me - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_technique ).
