Wasn't that only for the old 2d version, which got scrapped? I thought the songs he did make were recycled into Devlab.

perhaps you are right lol it would be kinda weird hearing that song with the "hammellflugen" thing in it on a game that is about post nucular warfare.

anyways still the game should be good.

That was for "Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel". That game actually made Interplay go bankrupt. lol! :(

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallout:_B ... d_of_Steel

All the music was remixes of music from bands such as Slipknot, Killswitch Engage, Skinlad and Meshuggah. The game was a total let down, whoever made it deserves to be killed.

Luckily Bethesda bought the rights from Interplay and have resurrected the series into the glory of next gen.

Hopefully the new installment will do as well as Oblivion since its made by the same people, just think of Oblivion but with guns, prostitution, drugs, dark humor and a post nuclear enviroment.

The latest screen shots looks pretty sweet, but im not holding my breath until I play it myself. Expect the game to be released mid next year.

"Hammellflugen?" Umm... Do you mean "Hot melt glue gun?" :P Oh, also, I didn't mean he renamed the soundtrack 'devlab' and released it, I just remember hearing he reused parts of it (the more calm/eerie ambient bits?) for Devlab.

IMASYL: (hehe) I don't think it was that game, actually. It wasn't just licensed songs, Devin was actually creating ambient music specifically for the game-- An earlier version of Fallout 3, I mean.

From my experience of playing that game I do recall hearing some ambient tunes. The music wasn't the problem, it was how the franchise was handled after the actual "third" Fallout. The real third game was entitled "Fallout Tactics", as its name suggests it was a tactical based fallout with set missions and no free roaming which the other games were so well known for.

The characteristics of the players were still kept, but the game was purely made for level by level gameplay. There was no free roaming in a world map, no interaction with multiple NPC's...only the handfull given in each mission and the feel of the game was alittle lost due to its development team chaging hand due to low funds in the company.

In a final bid to win back sales and fans alike, Interplay made a ballsy yet stupid decision to release "Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel". Since consoles were doing so well at the time with Baldurs Gate franchises, Interplay thought they'd have the same success by releasing a game which was close to Baldurs Gate engine, top view controls with only minimum room to upgrade you're character.

The plan failed and the company went bankrupt. The concept was good, but they should have kept their eyes on the PC gamers as they would have kept the company afloat til next gen games came along. Still, its good to see the franchise with a breath of fresh air, even though the original games were way ahead of their time with amazing visuals and dynamic gameplay...its always good to see something old mixed with something new.

Thats the only game which Dev worked on under the Fallout name, I do remember a interview Dev did in Australia and the presenter asked him about the game and he didn't know anything about it, he just said he was there to make music and not play games. :P

The music in the series is astounding, if you ever get the chance try and download the music from Fallout I and II.

so thats what he is saying? i dident think he would of just renamed it and sell it. i just thought it would be weird hearing track 1 in a video game.... hot melt glue gun... lol

the ambient stuff would work well on a game but im just not into it for casual listening.

tried falling to sleep to it and it kept me up instead LOL :? i guess im just used to having some type of metal on when i sleep ?

Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles for Wii is fun as hell. I just need the Zapper-gun to put the Wii remote and nun-chuck into.

Is that the remake of the first game, or that first person shooter?

Zelda 3! (aka A Link To The Past) Love the game. I don't care much for the 3D Zeldas, myself. Ocarina of time I find to be a bit overrated, Twilight Princess was just weak... I don't think I've thoroughly enjoyed a Zelda game since the third one. I guess it's a bit strange that I keep playing them, but eh...

Twilight Princess is amazing :P Although ever since I got to the Snowy mountain part of the game, I've lost interest because I find the whole 'travel through the mansion' scenario boring and stressful

Its the first person shooter, thats like those arcade games with the light guns. It runs through all the Resident Evil games and beyond where it shows the absolute ending of the Umbrella corporation. I wouldn't compare this game to the other Resident Evil's, it's a different genre pretty much.
