i forgot neurosis had a new one out. will have to check that out soon. same goes for Nile, Jesu. lars = metal to the max.

someone should do a 'biggest disappointments' thread (in a couple months maybe). i really did not like bjork's new one.

I've not actually listened to much new music this year. Ziltoid goes without saying, This Is Menace album is really good.

I was disappointed by NIN's Year Zero. It was a bit too lo-fi for me and I never really got into it. I much prefer With Teeth, but maybe that's just me.

I was also disappointed by Will Haven's new album. It's good, but didn't blow me away as I hoped it would.

I need to check out the new Oceansize and Skindred albums, but I iz broke at the moment.

1. Definitely Ziltoid the Omniscient... Really was the completely awesome album I had been waiting for..

2. Fear of a Blank Planet - Porcupine Tree... saw them earlier this year and was blown away, not to mention just a plain damn bass-ass album

3. Epica - The Divine Conspiracy... really gotta say they came into their own on this one and I just simply loved every song

4. Scarsick - Pain of Salvation... me and all my friends actually couldn't and still can't give up on this one... I can't see them without goin' "i'm so SICK, these SCARS AND THESE BARS!!!"

5. The Sum of No Evil - Flower Kings... I liked the more bare-bones approach and the more jam-oriented feel on this one, then again, I'm a prog-nut so sue me.
