Something to add steroids to Physicist, but new. That album fucking rocked.

"Quantum Physicist" Then there are 'infinite' excuses to make it as weird as ever. Hell yeah. Lets go Physicist II!!!

Add theremin.... everywhere. and 8 string guitars tuned EAEACEAE or EGCGCGCE. Complex rhythms of big daddy Gene, good portion of vocals like in Planet Rain, . Little bits of ambience and maybe a Quantum leap into a massive acoustic section totally unexpected as if your brain were dipped into a parallel universe or a time warp where the song and melody is still being played but the tone just goes > massive acoustics.

And add a side of gregorian chant. Followed by mechanical gregorian chant and samples of space sounds.

Yup.

A maudlin Of The Well style record by Dev would be interesting.

Phew, I'd like a couple of things...

A collaberation between Dev and Meshuggah. Meshuggah meets Dev's melodies.... I'd die of happiness probably.

Ambient / 'Freak' record with Dev working together with Mike Patton

Another Ocean Machine .... another Terria.

Seriously, I have no preconceived notion as to what new project the Dev should do, as he has always blown me away with each direction he's taken. I got used to SYL, and then he lays Ocean Machine on me. I get used to OM, and he throws Infinity on me. I get used to Infinity, and then here comes Physicist. I get used to Physicist, and here comes Terria. So, I say "fuck it". Come whatever may; it's always worth it.

Maybe I'd like Devin to do another experimental and dynamic album like Infinity (which is my personal favourite).

On the other hand though, I'm with djskrimp: he amazed me with every album. Every Devy recording sounded different and contained emotions and atmospheres not heard on his previous albums.

In other words: Dev, take your time and write whatever comes to your mind.

I would love a very melodic record. Something that really shows Dev's vocal ability. Though the album he's working on now has me excited.
