Talk about other artists here (even though they all rip off Meshuggah)

In Vain - The Latter Rain

Image

Very awesome music. And hard to describe. There's Death Metal in there, Black Metal, Doom Metal, Prog Metal, some Prog and Post Rock....just very interesting but difficult music which has to sink in and takes a few listens to fully appreciate. It's almost like a mix of bands such as Emperor, Opeth and Swallow the Sun. If you appreciate music that won't bore you too quickly then give this Album a chance.

Woods Of Ypres - Against The Seasons

Image

Fans of Agalloch will love this CD. Woods Of Ypres is a Melodic Black Metal band from Canada and their music is simply awesome. Their music is much more Black Metal than Agalloch's recent Albums but both bands are not too dissimilar. 'Against The Seasons' only has one problem...it's too short! Only 30 minutes long. No idea if it's actually an Album or just an EP. But it's fantastic none the less. So if you like Agalloch, check them out!

Control Human Delete - Terminal World Perspective

Code666 has done it again and brings you another unique and interesting band. CHD combine Black Metal with extreme Industrial Metal and Ambient. Kinda like Satyricon meets the Amenta. I guess one could say that CHD are similar to Aborym but CHD have one advantage...they don't suck. This Album is great from start to finish. There's brutality, coldness and atmosphere. If you like your music extreme, check out CHD.

Crionics - Neuthrone

Image

You like Behemoth and Vader and love Polish Death Metal? Then here's more food for you. Imagine Behemoth and Vader have a bastard child and Red Harvest is the godfather of it...then you know what Crionics sounds like. A fine blend of Death Metal, Black Metal and Industrial atmosphere with typical Polish trademarks. There's not one weak song on this record and even the Bonus track (a re-recorded version of an old Crionics track) kicks major ass. All you lovers of Polish brutality, check them out!

Elend - A World In Their Screams

Image

Holy Moly...what a weird trip! This is unlike anything else I have listened to before. This is the first Album I have listened to by this French/Austrian duo and I'm loving it! Elend combine classical music with industrial ambient in a way I have not heard it before. And we're not talking about classical music performed with keyboards. No, 30 musicians have been involved in this artistic horror soundtrack with both female operesque vocals and screams and male vocals, spoken in French. This is terrifying in so many good ways. Awesome and breathtaking. Thumbs up!

Heres my two recommendations:

Fair to Midland- http://www.myspace.com/fairtomidland
A cool "folky" hard rockish band. Weird lyrics, but an awesome vocalist.

40 Below Summer- http://www.myspace.com/40belowsummer
Definately one of my favorite bands. They are metal/rock and have very cool melodic chorus' (which I love). They are however broken up now, but theres quite a library to check out. They have some stranger stuff if you investigate further.

Elend do produce something unlike anything I have heard elsewhere. I have the previous 2 albums , Sunwar the Dead and Winds Devouring Men and they are awesome. Haven't got round to getting AWITS yet but plan to.
Highly recommended.

I recommend Winds, just been checking them out. So many bands that slip me by!

I fell in love with Dredg.
Kinda Katatonia meets Devin meets Swallow the Sun meets progressive things.

Not the best discription, but one of the songs made me
almoust cry

Very good, indeed!

Indeed. Gotta love that distorted lap steel with the tremolo picking! I've heard many tracks from El Cielo and it is some great, great stuff. Leit Motif didn't do too much for me, but Catch Without Arms is a pretty solid album ("Bug Eyes" is one of the best singles I've ever heard a band put out!).

I've listened "Catch without arms" twice now, and
if the other albums are even better than this,
I think I will go insane of all this awesomeness!

If this doesn't touch, I don't know what will.

This really hits me like a thousand bricks, lightnings, bulls, powerpuff girls! :D

If someone wants to hear how NOT to pronounce english in songs,
grab Blood stained Child's song called "Truth".
There is absolutely no sense in what he says

yup, I'd have to agree...El Cielo is fantastic. Better than CWA in my opinion.

Now I just need to find El Cielo from somewhere.

Seems I'm on a hard quest now, since they seem to be
quite unknown here.

I've been searching new bands pretty desperately past few months but Dredg sounds by far the best of what I've heard. In fact, I just ordered the Catcht Without Arms from cdon. :D
