the bourne ultimatum
a movie ruined by faulty directing and camera work
this one had potential, Matt Damon does great as Jason Bourne, and its great suspense/action/spy franchise
this last instalment though suffers greatly from camera work, poor directing and cheap cheap effects
for one thing the movie is truly non-stop action for the most part, and yet all the action scenes are filmed in blurry, shaky cam
you know how they shake the camera to make you feel apart of the action and make it all the more intense? well it practically made my date puke...
not only shaky, but blurry, and very very short cuts makes for a very fast paced movie, but you basically get not detail or clear view
not only that, but the film is riddled with useless flashback, that bring very little in term of the story or caracters
also shots are often taken at angles and buzzing around making it all the more hard to focus on the scenes
beyond that, Matt Damon plays the part well, the story is interesting, though it feels as though they left some stuff unclear so they could either make a prequel/sequel/spinoff movie...
in the end, if you wanna see a great action movie, treat yourself to live free or die hard, and keep bourne for a rental down the line

If you don't grok it, drokk it!
Contrary to Shiram, I thought the Bourne Ultimatum was a really great film. The shaky camera really added to the intensity of the movie and drew me more into the action. It was probably my favorite of the series.
Edit: Im pretty sure there wont be a sequel, as there are only three books in the Bourne series. Or at least Im really hoping they dont make up some bullshit story just to keep the franchise running.

Yeah.

Metal: A Headbangers journey, yesterday and thought it was really interesting. Before that, Pan's Labyrinth- an excellent film. I would recommend both. I have just moved to Costa Rica and as it gets dark at 6 I'm starting to watch a lot more films so keep the hints coming!
just saw batman begins
it surprised me

Requiem for a Dream. Amazing, awe-inspiring ending. For some reason, the movie reminded me of NIN's "The Downward Spiral" album, so when the movie was over, I threw on the album and got into it just as much as I did the first time I listened to it.
Want to move? Feel the groove!
Night At The Museum
mm, pretty ok, didn't cost me too much, so I don't
care if it wasn't that great I expected it to be.
I have to admit, I might have slept 10 minutes in between
Robin Williams got a few points from me, he hasn't been
my favourite actors (mainly because of Flubber) but he was ok now.

I have the book, though. Think I want to read that before I see the movie.
