The Departed

Good one. A bit too long I guess but good nevertheless.

I might have to admit that DiCaprio is actually maybe sort of almost a good actor, actress. Almost :D

Transformers....and I loved it. Yeah it was cheesy and funny and blab blab but hey, it's based on a freakin' cartoon series for kids so what do you expect? A fuckin' Drama? The person that wanted to see the movie was the 10 year old Lars in me and that one was not disappointed.

yeah..I went there with 7 people and we all loved it. Dunno what people expected from it. It was a cartoon series for kids and this is a movie for kids basically. I mean, it's not R-rated, right? So yeah, I thought it kicked ass!

i second lars' opinion. 10 year old ike is now a happy camper, too. i didn't know anything about the original series, but i love the movie the way i love the turtles movies. if i had any expactations, it was maybe the concern that it might be nonsense block buster stuff like all those marvel movies. and it was not :)

Die Hard 4.0

Enjoyable. It's an actionpacked, no-brainer Die Hard movie. This is always good. Pretty decent acting, nice little story, over the top action, and a nice added bonus, Kevin Smith!

7/10

Come on people, there are so many things in that movie, that are just awfully wrong and fucks up the idea behind Transformers completely.
I don't want to give too much away, but in a few words, that hopefully only the people who've seen the movie will understand, I'll try to explain my frustration:

1- little comic relief 'jar jar' decepticon... urgh
2- "lubrication fluid leak"? ... oh god, why?
3- what the fuck is Megatron supposed to be?
4- All actors... I repeat.. ALL ACTORS in this movie are extremely horrible. Even the normally great Jon Voight and John Turturro.

Transformers was never a cartoon for children. The audience targeted were always teens and above. The original Japanese version had a PG rating, like most of the stuff from the East (Dragon Ball, Neon Genesis, Escaflowne, etc).
Okay, the movie also has a PG rating, but there are 'jokes' in this movie, which even an 8-year old would sigh too. I blame all this shit on Michael Bay, who probably never even watched a single Transformer episode, or the original 80's movie.

the origional transformers was series of toys taken from different ranges all owned by bandai they then commissioned a cartoon to sell they toys to children. it was only after that that they actually started to get serious. its all the same with he-man, thundercats, visionaries, jace and the wheeled warriors, centurions, hundreds of them. all a big ploy to sell toys thats why getting sentimental over them is silly.

but the movie kicks ass
