I saw the Simpsons movie today and loved it :D
was a bit worried that a movie for that series would not work too well but I really enjoyed it! I was laughing quite a bit! And I got to see more of Bart than I wanted to see!

I saw the simpsons movie today, and as a fan for the past 10 years, thought it was terrible. Biggest dissapointment in ages. :(

The fucking Simpsons movie will be released in the Netherlands three weeks later than the 'WORLDWIDE' premiere.
Man, I hate this country...

Anyway, last 'movie' watched:

Just finished season 3 of Lost... wow.. just wow.

Just saw the Simpsons....it wasn't as good as I thought it would be...it was a good waste of an hour and a half.

I just got back from watching The Simpsons Movie, and I thought it was freakin' hilarious! It wasn't my favorite movie of all time, but I thought it served it's purpose. I also didn't hold high hopes for it before I went to see it, but I ended up being really impressed with it.

I just saw Death Proof.
The talking in the beginning almost started to get boring but the car chase was so great and Stuntman Mike made me laugh out loud and it was full of Vanishing Point references.

I dont think I going to see the simpsons movie. I was once a big fan but last seasons were so dissapointing and the trailer didnt convince me at all.

Transformers.
Great effects and big robots fighting is bound to be a winner. Bit cheesy in places but I sorted of expected that as it was a summer blockbuster.

Yesterday I saw Transformers & The Simpsons Movie.

Really enjoyed both!

The Simpsons was surprisingly good, though still not as cool as the early episodes. Some genius moments and some jokes that didnt really work. As a movie it worked well by not taking itself too seriously and having fun with the format rather than striving to perfect it and failing. I can see how some die hard fans would be displeased by it, but I thought it was great.

Transformers was great too. Best shiny robot fighting EVER. Shame about the humans! Some of the effects were incredible, it has to be said. Did still have the Michael Bay cheesy whiff throughout though. At least it wasnt as stinky as Armageddon anyway.

Uhhh...

Sicko - 6/10. Good, very Michael Moore in that it twisted facts a little bit at times.

Meet Joe Black - 7/10. Looking back, it probably wasn't an 7/10 movie... But I wasn't able to leave the TV for the full 3 hours, and that alone says something. Great acting, but a bit too drawn out.

Interview With a Vampire - 9/10. Great movie. Pitt doesn't make the most convincing vampire in the world.

Just got back from 4 : Rise Of The Silver Surfer.
It's a decent movie (especially after I saw Transformers, god, every movie goes up a notch when you've seen that one). The only reason I went was, because I think the Silver Surfer is the best comic-book character ever.
The Fantastic Four can suck a fat one, but the acting was a little better than the first movie, which was just horrible.
The main reason I saw the first movie was Dr. Doom, whose storyline in this second movie was just horrendous. I can't believe they took this kickass villain and let Michael Bay write his part of the script. He's still the best actor in the movie though.
CGI throughout, I don't give a crap, if it looks cool, it looks cool. The storyline was a little cheesy, and I would have loved to see more Surfer, but hey, good news, there's a Silver Surfer movie coming in 2009, hurrah.

6/10

Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Still golden! (Part of Sky's Modern Classics season.) My kids watched it for the first time and thought it was hilarious.

Haha, to each their own. I didn't see that movie until I was 19 and I definitely did not like it one bit. Nostalgia plays a big part there I guess.
