Die Hard 4.0

John McClane doesnt swear, drink or smoke in this film but he does kill a LOT of people. Generally I was pretty pleased with it. Not bad at all really! Funny that censorship doesnt extend to violence....ha. Pleasingly over the top.

Next week Harry Potter. Week after Simpsons and Transformers (on the same day! Ha!).

Shrek III.

My kid liked it. I got a few laughs out of it but as soon as I become aware of thinking about how much longer a film has left to run then I know it isn't good.

Transformers- SPOILERS

i'd give it a 65% rotten tomato style
not enough transformers, come on we want more! only bumble bee and optimus have a enough lines to make it worth it

uninteresting Humans, that guy and is plastic girl are lame, and not interesting

too long, many scenes we're way too long, or just not necessary, like the autobots playing hide and seek from the boy's familly

on the cool side, f22 dog fight scene rocked
car chase scenes rocked
special effects rocked
transformers we're all mostly cool, though i disliked that all decepticon had to be mostly grey

The Decepticons didn't get too much of a run in robot form, did they? I'd say a sequel would concentrate a bit more on them, with any luck. Don't want to ruin it for those who haven't seen it, so won't go any further than that.

I disagree with you on the kid, though. The girl was a cardboard cut-out "babe", but I thought the kid was a fun character, well played. And the hide-and-seek was gold. Where's your sense of humour? ;)

Transformers was terrible when the Transformers weren't in it. The movie itself was about one star, but the Transformers were about five stars... thats how the reviews ended up with three I think.

children of men - "in the court of the crimson king"

buffalo 66 - it was an open air cinema show and i just came along when christina ricci started dancing to "moonchild"

shrek III disapointing... very odd when you spend the whole film waiting for a punchline that never comes

Just saw Shrek III as well, and I was amazed (in a stunned way)
how "grown up" it was!
It was good, it was, but if you haven't seen other
Shreks, you really need to start from movie 1, since the
story is getting pretty deep and a lot of characters are from
previous films. The story in Shrek III begins almost

The feelings I have towards Shrek movies, is pure love,
so I really can't objectively judge it.

Less musical than others, and a lot more serious.
That is one of the main reasons why I love Shreks
so much, their way to use music, and how well all the
songs fit in the movies, really providing one with a feeling
how well everything is put together.

9/10 (from a Shrek lover though)

Requiem for a dream

Geez, I hate that movie.
I love it, but I hate it so much.
This was the second time I watched it, but last time was sooo long ago I
decided it was time to fuck up my mind again.

The story is sad, makes you angry, and doesn't let you off easy.
I hate the characters, the state they get themselves into,
their weaknesses and their unavoidable destiny.
Why couldn't they just sort out their life?
They could have done things other way..
And the poor mother, I really like her, Ellen Burstyn is amazing in her role.
Actually Jared Leto isn't that bad (to be honest, he's amazing, I just happen to habit-dislike him) playing the son, who's life is a rollercoaster, all the ups and downs.
Marlon Wayans should stick to these real movies, not scary movies and such. He is convincing.
Ever role in this movie is played with such intensity that seems like you are
watching real life with real persons..

This movie gets better every time you watch it, though I knew I
hated it for it's bitter reality and the way things are shown in there..
Phuee!
Clearly not a movie you can just watch, this needs thought and time.

10/10
(even though I could give less points for being so brutal and truthful and hurting)

"Ass to ass, ass to ass!"

Ehrm, sorry couldn't resist. :) It's indeed a hate/love movie, it's great but seriously disturbing.
