They never thought they were the greatest band in the world. Kurt was always very anti commercialism and probably hated smells like teen spirit more than you.

Sometimes it depends how old you were when they came, they were very tainted by 14 year old girls but yeah, that happens, but anyway each to their own, at least Nirvana isn't as bad as Dev ha

I'd always makes senses? Yes.
The only word that doesn't end with an s is "I'd" meaning that you'd not be seriousnesses. Conclusion: you are not making sense.

That depends on how long until your birthday day and the season that it falls under (and whether you reside in the northern or southern hemisphere). Only once this is established can the bread maintain and a futile relationship with the boat king of glory.

I think my main problem with Nirvana now is that its impossible for me to seperate their music from Kurt Cobain's heroin addict-recluse-suicide persona.

yeah but there are plenty of junkies who make awesome music, thats a FACT. You also have to factor in his stomach disorder which caused him a lot of pain. Also, he didn't kill himself, there were no prints on the gun for starters and he had way too much heroin in him. There are also discrepancies with the suicide note ie. the last part seems to be written by someone else. My GF doesn't like Kurt either but she has a total misconception of him.

I think Deepak Chopra said that discomfort breeds creativity or something along those lines.

Maybe that's why bands start to suck once they get rich.

I was just saying that for me it's a lot easier to appreciate music if its a little more open to interpretation... but with all the media attention that Kurt has gotten it's basically impossible to seperate the musician from the music.

yeah i hate when that happens, and Deepak is a fucking legend, 'quantam healing' is one of the best books I've read.

Anyway, I kinda felt the same about South Park, it got soooo much attention and my friends did Cartman to death and it really turned me off. Now I love it :)

Nirvana, in my opinion, didn't go through a sucky stage. They left it with 'in utero' and that album is kinda like Nirvana's equivalent to the Doors' 'LA Woman' in the way it was like Kurt's goodbye to the industry at least. "What else can I write? What else can I say" etc etc. Either way, each to their own but you gotta defend the shit you like, am I right?
