I do think Devin could do death metal vocals, meaning a lower type of growling then. There are some examples already mentioned like in Mountain. I just assume it hasn't been altered in the studio then.
I myself can go from higher screams to lower so I assume it's the same for him. It's a bit like with normal singing, either higher or lower notes. So I suppose he can do so with ease, especially since he has a versatile voice. Lord Worm style is something else maybe, kind of another style.
