I guess I should also post here since I am relatively new on this forum. I am 30, female, a total dork and I love beer and Taco Bell. I can't go even one day without listening to someing Devy-related....I seriously have been waking up the last month or 2 with random Ziltoid bits in my head and they are stuck there all day at work.

Well I assume before I take any further action on this very swell forum I should post here.


I'm Deadwlng among many other "Internet Aliases". I am a student planing on flying out to Rhode Island to go to animating college. I am a flash animator and I have been since early 2003. I can't show you any samples of my work due to my computer not having a C:Drive at the moment (A very long an extensive story) but I did get to put my copy of "Ziltoid" in before it shat the bed so for that I am thankful.

Music wise I have always been a fan of progressive rock. Porcupine Tree, Genesis, King Crimson you name it I more likely to none have listened to it. I started to "Grow" the taste for Progressive Metal after I discovered Opeth through one of Steven Wilson's many collaborations with the band. Discovering Devin Townsend was a completely different story. I am not going to lie and say I have been listening to Devin for years upon years. I in fact began to play some of his music in March after a friend of mine who was messed up out of his mind sent me a message over AIM saying "Dude, this guy is coming out with a fucking album with a space monster." The link was to a Wikipedia entry on Ziltoid and I do have to say I thought it was a joke. But then I started to realize who Devin was... Its like one of those "I know that persons face but not who he is" moments except the face was Devin's voice. I did hear some of his music before but it never thrilled me.

So before Ziltoid came out I went and spent my time on a musical binge on various albums I robbed from my friends and I do have to say I was impressed. So I would like to thank Devin (I doubt he views the forums...Busy busy music people) for bringing back my faith in metal music.

I also like to play bass. I find bass much more fun then guitar (/brace for impact).

And I am also designing a Ziltoid animation based off of the booklet that came with the CD, the song lyrics and of course the image of Ziltoid himself. Its just a matter of which song! I do want to do "Planet Smasher" but the other sound good too. If anyone could give their opinions on this it surely will be welcomed.

So yeah thats basically my intro in a nutshell...A large multiple paragraph nutshell

Well , i have made a few posts , but i guess i should formerlly introduce myself here , lol , ok , i am a 33 year old nutter from the UK , a musician playing guitar/bass/keyboards/trumpet/trumbone and the odd vocals , currently working on my solo projects , and no its not Dev style , its technical death metal.
wanna know the bands i am into? ok then , heres just a few......Opeth/My Dying Bride/Therion/Pink Floyd/Led Zep/Neal Morse/Electrocution 250/Jethro Tull/DTB/The dev(of course)/SYL/Almighty Punchdrunk/Caustic Thought/Mucopus/Cannibal Corpse/Emperor/Dark Funeral/Metallica(83-88)/Machine Head/Slayer........thats just to name few , so ya can imagine i have a wide spectrum when it comes to music.
So there you have............i have officially introduced myself (finally)

Wooh sup everyone! I'm just a 16 year old kid from the tiny town of Midland, Texas (yup the home of George W. Bush like it or not) and I think Devin is a musical genius...i'm convinced that pretty much anything he touches will turn to Gold. I have the albums "Ocean Machine" and "Infinity" as well as the Vai album "Sex and Religion" but i've heard much SYL and other DTB stuff. And as of about 3 weeks ago i'm a huge fan of his.

I play the French Horn and the Guitar and have been playing both for approximately 5 years now. I'm really into just about anything with awesome guitar playing in it like Dream Theater or Megadeth or Vai or Death or Opeth or Rush and now SYL and DTB, but more leaned towards the progressive stuff.

Greetings humans! Just recently I discovered the magical sounds of Devin Townsend through Terria and got pretty fast addicted to this musical adventure. Ziltoid is just awesome, can`t wait to discover more of this kind of crazy stuff!
