Can he still play drums? Didn't he quit Opeth because of his blood illness? Oh well, maybe he can still play, as long as he'll take it easy...

He did quit Opeth because of blood illness, but I believe they said he would be working on a project of his own from now on.

I was sad to hear this, but it does seem pretty positive though. I was lucky enough to see him play with Opeth 3 times, so I cant complain. From the interviews I have seen he seems like a really nice dude. Hopefully we will see him again some time!

As for the future of Opeth...who knows. I have always figured them as a band that will always evolve, and this is just another step along the way.

Though the thought of Peter rejoining 'Lopez would be neat. Yeah!

I always thought of Opeth as a particular group of musicians as much as a vehicle for Mikael's creativity, so with both Martin and Peter gone it doesn't really feel quiet as much like "Opeth" any more.
