I still listen to a ton of blues and folk

Stuff like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Gales, John Lee Hooker, ect.

And John Prine and Todd Snider are both great.

And Eric Johnson, of course.

At the age of three or four I was already rocking to The Who, playing my air-guitar Pete Townshend-style. Ehm... Then I kinda lost track...

Roxette, Michael Jackson, WWF Superstars (Slam Jam anyone?), Green Day... The last one being a return to more guitar-based stuff, I still like some of their stuff.

I don't consider myself a metalhead. But it can be fun to look back

I never used to listen to music until I picked up a copy of Ride The Lightening, then WHOOSH! I was in. Then my friend Ben downloaded me Heavy As a Really Heavy Thing, which allowed me to set a routine for a headbanging session =D. As I progressed, I eventually found Mr Townsend's own work and fell instantly in love with it.
I do think that a lot of people today love bands with not that much talent like, I don't know, Fall Out Boy or Lostprophets because they sound great, but because of their whole "metal clan" and hardcore image they just go "nah, hate it, it's crap" and I don't like the feeling of not being - so to speak - "allowed" to listen to those types of music.
