It had been a wonderful evening and what I needed now, to give it the perfect ending, was a little of the Ludwig Van.

I doubt I can ever read "Ol' Ludwig Van" without immediately having pictures from Clockwork Orange in my head...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ulver#Modern_Era

Ulver have most recently collaborated with drone band Sunn O))) on a 15-minute track which appears on Sunn O)))'s WHITEbox box set, released in July of 2006. Additionally, Ulver had announced back in 2002 that they had been working on a string remake of Nattens Madrigal, but Garm has stated on the message board of his alternative rock band, Head Control System, that the project "is in a state of total dormancy."

Man i hated HCS., if it was anybody but him in that band i swear nobody would care. The music is dated and way below average.

Anybody a fan of the band COIL? They're amazing i know garm cites them as a big influence he even had to defend the quickfix ep from claims it just plain ripped them off. Its a grey area though in coils career they have sounded like all music that has and ever will be made. hah.

Yeah the music on HCS was like A Perfect Circle but way worse (would anyone have cared if it was someone but Maynard? ^^). It was entertaining for like 2-3 listens but could have been way better if they'd actually bothered to put some thought into it.

you guys are looking at it the wrong way. It's a fun record with nice production, period, so my guess is you were expecting a "Garm project" :P

Garm didn't write the music, he just sang. I thought the production was really good!
