Days Of Being Wild - Very cool
Mr. Smith Goes To Washington - Great, a classic!
Les Vacances de Monsieur Hulot - Great
Chicago - Very enjoyable
Eraserhead - Tenth time I've seen it....only gets better
Epidemic - A decent Trier film
Europa - Good Trier film but far from his best
Nostalghia - Hard to swallow....needs a second viewing
Les Choristes - Cute, liked it
Gloria - Far from the best Cassavetes has done
The Killing Of A Chinese Bookie - Great Cassavetes

Mulholland Drive. Damn titties. What's the plot again? I have to see this two or three times more ... to get over the titties, then again three to five times to get it. :D

Yeah, I surely have to add Mulholland Drive to the list of movies I need to see a second time. The last time I saw a David Lynch movie was probably The Straight Story. As one can guess from its title, people more familiar with his work said that it was something rather unusual for him, but I really liked it. Gave me such a cozy, yet melancholic feel.

And now something completely different - yesterday I saw this movie again and had lotsa fun:

...which is partly because one still doesn't fully understand it even when watching it for a thousand times

Kidding! Still haven't seen Eraserhead - I had/ have it on my computer, but the quality wasn't that good and I prefer waiting until I can see it in decent picture and sound quality.

Threads.

Here on Google video

I saw it when it was originally broadcast in '84, and it is still a powerful piece of work - even if the global circumstances have changed a tad.
Reminds me of just how ephemeral and fragile our existence is, and how it could all be taken away in a blink...

Went and saw Apocalypto last night. Didn't have that high expectations since it was a Mel movie and I really hated Passion of the Christ (or "Arggh, arghhh" as I call it). but wow was I surprised! Excluding a few cheesy moments it was genuinely entertaining and gripping, I'd recommend it.

After many a year of hearing how great it is I saw The Big Lebowski today. Wasn't one of the best movies I've ever seen, but it certainly amused me. And The Dude is one of the most likeable characters I've ever seen.

On a movie related note:

Wild Hogs. I didn't have high expectations, so it was an enjoyable way to kill 120 minutes.

Jacob's Ladder-Re-affirmed its place in my top 5. Fantastic movie.

Happy Feet-Suprisingly, I thought it was really good. Just good fun
