Not so fast, grasshopper, Rudess looks kinda like Nigel Pulsford from Bush. That's not so metal.

I think it's pretty cool that DT signed with Roadrunner.

Could there be an Opeth, DT, Porcupine Tree tour in the near future?

Anneke (singer from The Gathering) is showing her beautiful voice on the "A Sound Relief" DVD (I think). Nothing scary!

And he strikes again! Never realized how pervy Myra's avatar can look at first glimpse...

Since this thread is about Dream Theater, a band that absolutely never clicked with me (although I once bought Images&Words), that's all I can say. Oh wait - I certainly was a bit surprised when Opeth and PT signed with Roadrunner, so maybe this time people shouldn't be too surprised about this (unexpected?) co-op but see it as another proof that Roadrunner keeps on pushing their limits. Well, I don't doubt that this is gonna be successful for both sides.

Hmm weren't there rumours about a Akerfeldt/Wilson/Portnoy collaboration? Would one and the same label for all of them make that easier?

There were and are definitely rumors about a Akerfeldt/ Wilson co-op. Maybe not rumors, because I think it was even one of them or both who talked about it. They should get along artistically, since Wilson already worked as a producer for Opeth.

But comparing how many collaborations are discussed and how many really happen eventually, I don't care too much about them until they really become true.

Akerfeld said he was going to write music "For more than one album" ;)

I never thought of that when I picked this avatar!!

btw..the gathering are coming to the US!!

ON TOPIC: Yea, he did mention something on the website and on his myspace blog about "writing more than one record" and I'm assuming the other record is the Wilson/Portnoy thing. I know Portnoy has said it wasn't a matter of "if" it is a matter of "when".
