It just feels like it, y'know? Maybe it's because the color of the spaceship is almost exactly the color I associate the whole of Physicist with (except it's a bit more pale green in my head), but if you picture it as taking off instead of landing, and Namaste kicking in right when the jets fire... I dunno, fits perfectly to me.

So how much do you charge for album covers? I've got this stupid 'pride' thing going at the moment where I've convinced myself I have to do everything (including cover art) for my current few projects, but if someone manages to smack some sense into me in the future it'd be cool to have your talent illustrate a Swimfail album or something.

Grrr , I didn't know the right quote and the search thingie didn't work with just "pimped" and "spaceship" because of the "-"s I guess ... ah what am I rambling about it then, everything's cool.

@Josiah: yeah tell me about the pride thing. I have this idea in my head of a cartoon series (spawned by South Park of course) about Slovenia, which is divided between one town and one village, with all the stereotypes and deadlocks and shit, funny stuff. Now I know I would have to assemble a team to start and get it going, but I somehow think I will first sketch the main characters, the scene, the backgrounds, do a webpage design and stuff like that and although it is all in my head I just don't have the know-how to do it all. I'll have to find people who'll be able to visualize and do what I have in mind. Damn shit. And I don't want to start talking around about it too much because someone might steal my precious idea. Vicious circle.

Goat: Haha, I know exactly what you mean. It's not so much that I don't have the know-how to do everything myself (as far as music/art is concerned), it's just that it'd be so much cooler with a more talented person doing some aspects of it. It's sort of a tempting "do I or do I not?" cycle of doubt. Fun stuff.

yo folx, i'm reviving this thread with a new little project. i recently joined this very cool band http://www.myspace.com/parityboot who i had done some artwork for a while ago, and now i'm working on a little download-site for demo tracks nstuff.

well, here's what i've made so far. this preview is rather small, but the big version was like 3 pixels too big for the board, and i'm too lazy right now to change it. the writing of the band name might be redone tomorrow, but tell me your thoughts (they rock)

there'll be some links and stuff added below the main pic, and now that i see it again, i should put the band name somewhere else. but whatever, here we go:

First off, awesome band! Quite a cool sound, interesting production too. I dig it very much.

The artwork looks great, as usual. The band name placement is a bit awkward, if only because the colors sort of blend together with the background and make it confusing to look at. I'm not in the best state for critique though, I stayed up all night playing Psychonauts and now I swear my monitor is slowly rocking from side to side. No wait, maybe it's the wall that's moving. Ergh. Sleep deprivation sucks.

Great cover, dude, totally pro! Yeah move the band name, but that's it. The "pb" sign is awesome. Why "industrial metal" though? Is it the album title?

@ goat: it's not the album cover, but the design for a download site, where you can leech some of the demo songs as soon as it's up (next week, that shall be).
the cover will look similar, but with more detail.

the album is due june 1st (hopefully), so have an eye on their/our myspace. this stuff will rock!
