all devin towsend. Except synchestra which i've had for awhile.
Thinking about buying a widescreen flatpanel monitor. Not sure though, they still seem a bit pricey to me... (Yeah I'm a cheapskate

Pain of Salvation - Scarsick arrived today...halfway through the first listen...In some ways I think people have made too much of the rap vocals, they've always been present, they're just more prominent and the obvious..erm..changes in lyrical style).... I'm not expecting much from the rest of this album, it's just not sitting right with me so far. I like that it's something different, but I get the feeling it will definately be my least favourite...I might be proven wrong though

yesterday I picked up:
Enslaved - Monumension
Enslaved - Isa
Moonsorrow - Viides Luku - Hävitetty
Negura Bunget - 'n crugu bradului (which is faulty but I'll get it replaced)
Satyricon - Volcano
and in the mail I got:
Jääportit - Avarrus
Enslaved - Monumension
Enslaved - Isa
Moonsorrow - Viides Luku - Hävitetty
Negura Bunget - 'n crugu bradului (which is faulty but I'll get it replaced)
Satyricon - Volcano
and in the mail I got:
Jääportit - Avarrus

no need to...I'm sure I still got the cassette somewhere!
Yo, n00b here, I've been migrating from forum to forum in finding a "comfortable" environment, and planted my ass here, I have been a fan of Devin's work for quite sometime and this forum seems pretty healthy (in an intoxicating kinda way!), mmmmm health, so I should fit in nicely (hopefully).
Back on topic, my recent purchases have been:
Lightning Bolt - Wonderful Rainbow. Shit this album rocks, minimalist rock filtered with noisy tendancies, great duo.
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum - Grand Opening & Closing (TE075). This is the re-issue that was originally released on Seeland Records, which is now released by The End Records, nothing has changed as such, except for a few extra tracks, some visual updates in the packaging. As for the music; similar to King Crimson and The Residents but a whole lot more obsure? Theatrical elements thrown into this "avant-garde" blender with junk percussion ontop. Alot more doom-y-ish than their second album, Of Natural History. This is a fine release indeed.
Deerhoof - Green Cosmos. Another rock orientated (oh how I use this term ever so lightly) album, can't be fudged going into detail, but it's definitely worth checking out.
Slomo - The Creep. CAUTION: This album is a representation of Slomo's stomach (Bile, acids, all that kind of jazz involved in digesting moss). Ambient d'ludge.
Peter Gabriel - 1 and 4. Gaaargh just get these albums (also 2 and ESPECIALLY 3). Oh and while your at it, get every Genesis album with Gabriel involved.
Pain Of Salvation - Scarsick. I downloaded this one ARRRR, I plunders it from these ere' depths of the internets out of mere interest (seeing as I ave' lost some interest in PoS due to it's ere' rich cheesiness GARRR) and I ave' to say I'm quite dissapointed ARRR. *cough* Usually the musicianship is really of high calibar, but this release lacks in almost every department. Scarsick and Enter Rain are probably the high-light tracks off this album, maybe King Of Loss aswell? Eh.
