Hi everyone, thanks so much for the positive feedback so far...but remember, this is only a preview! Ideally I would like you all to hear the CD version as it has the best sound quality and flows the way I intended it to.

That soundclick player does seem to stall after Gozu's track, which I do apologise for. Must be because it is so short. However, if you just click the next track it will work fine again.

Josiah...I agree on your statement about the volume levels. This was infact a major obstacle for me to tackle when putting this thing together. I wanted the whole thing to be consistant in terms of sound quality and volume, even though the songs are so different. It was very difficult to achieve this though, as some songs just sound so different to others. If they had all been recorded by the same person it would have been much easier. That 'weird voice' at the end of the intro was kinda meant to hurt your ears. That is actually my normal voice...I added a little chorus but that is all. I'm glad it had this effect on you!

On the topic of CD production...I have started to make the discs. The other day I printed 6 copies and maybe the next free day I have I will print 6 more. It is very time consuming though!

As far as posting them goes, I have encountered a couple of setbacks. Number one is that my computer is currently 'retired' from service as I have a rather brutal virus on it that is proving kind of hard to shift. I dont like to use my machine when it is in this state because it often makes you very vulnerable. This should be fixed in the next couple of days though and I can get back to making discs. The second setback is that I was recently promoted from part time to full time work. This is something I have been waiting for all year and means I can hopefully save up some money to buy a car/get married/pay off debts. It does mean that I have less free time to do this stuff though.

SO...please be patient with me. I will begin posting these discs soon...but its not like I can post 100 in one go...it will be more like a slow trickle.

Ok, back to work now!

Oh Twiglet,

When I am ready I will take your address. Then I will post one to thee. The cost to one and all is in fact nothing. As I mentioned before, I cannot make and do not want to make a profit on this. The cost is minimal anyway as I am making the product 100% in my bedroom. It's all about spreading the love! However, due to the nature of my spreading (ie doing it for free) it may take a while for everyone to get one.

The album does look pretty sweet though, I think you guys will really like it.

Monga rocks! :D

By the way, I have downloaded the tracks from the Soundclick page, and I've listened to it once with proper tracklisting. This is some really great stuff! I am just astonished by how good the overall quality of this product is. Props to all you who contributed! :D

I am also amazed by all the styles in this album, ranging from some really creepy stuff (Monga's intro track) to marimba (you know ;)) to electronic (Greg's The Cosmos) to something straight out of a musical (Shopping Kart's Dark Light Over Blue Skies, which by the way gives me major goosebumps each time around 3:29... "I will not falteeeeeer").

You all should be proud of yourself! :D

Hey lads...

I finally found the time to check out the whole compilation.
Great stuff! Thx to everyone involved for sharing this!
I like all the songs, though there is ONE that actually
makes me SHUDDER (in a POSITIVE way!) every time
I listen to it...

Adrifts' "Dreamwalker" !!!

Fuck, how great is THIS?!?!?!
Can't get more Dev-feeling out of ANY non-Devy song...
If one had told me "here, listen...a left over, never
released interlude track from "Terria"...."
Hell, I would have SWALLOWED it!

Love you for this one, Adrift!
Simple, oh so beautiful and MAXIMUM EFFICIENT!

3) A high bitrate MP3 version of the album, uploaded as a zip file complete with printable artwork and everything. This can be uploaded onto a site like rapidshare upon request.

So how about it? I'd like to have this in proper quality before listening to it, but I'd rather not economically burden you in vain (plus I want to hear it ASAP :D).

If you can't find any nice, fast webspace to host it on you could release it as a torrent. I know I'd help seeding it with a fast connection once I get it myself ;)

Actually, the band name is Dreamwalker, and the track is called "Adrift", but thank you very much for the compliments. And Yanko is right, the encoding pretty much negates most of the vocals. It sounds much more expansive on headphones at 44.1 KHz, 16-bit quality.

Hey BlazingMonga thanks for doing the compilation. I am excited to hear all of the bands on it.
I am the other half of Suicide Safari along with Earworm. I am really happy every one has been so positive about our song. It took alot of work and I think we are both proud of it.
This is a really cool idea. Thanks again.

*Tips hat to everyone who had anything to do with this*
Outstanding stuff. "There's A Cup Behind You On The Thing" and "Dark Light Over Blue Skies" are my favourites on this at the moment.

P.S. *Zyprexa agrees even though her internet is gone*

Glad this is getting listened to!

I have only just managed to purge my computer of the infection I had (google for Lop.AH to find out how much of a bastard it is) so now I am able to get back on track.

I will hopefully be able to post the first few next saturday. I would post them sooner than that but its hard to get the post office on a weekday.

Jim, I will hand you one tonight if you like!

Hey dude/dudette,

I can use a website like yousendit.com or rapidshare.com to host it temporarily, on request. However these websites only host files up to 100MB in size, and ideally this will be bigger than that for the higher bitrate MP3s. I can easily do a part one/part two thing with 2 zip files. I can also include the artwork so you can print it yourself.

I use bittorrent myself, but I have absolutely no idea how to make a torrent. It might be better, but I am not sure if it is easier.

Yup.

I'll gladly pay you Tuesday, for a hamburger today.

I'd buy it...that's one hell of an album.

I'll wait for a long time for it, but do please add me to the list.
