Right-click on the general top bar area (except the URL field) and click on "Customize...". Now, just drag & drop anything you don't want into the small box that opens.

Nah the other toolbar is still there, I've just found out she got it through downloading something

For that mysterious toolbar: try Tools/Extensions, it may be listed there.

I got this add-on for my status bar that tells me the weather. It's handy because I can't be fucked to turn on the TV and go to the weather channel.
