Good British Comedy:
Python & the spawns: ripping Yarns, Rutland thingy, Fawlty Towers
Fast Show
Spaced
Most of Chris Morris' stuff: Brasseye, Day today, Nathan Barley
League of Gentlemen (my favourite)
Last of The Summer Wine (well, I am a Yorkshire & there's nothing funnier than old men going down a hill in a bath)
The Mighty Boosh
Smack the Pony

Bad British Comedy:
Little Britain
Catherine Tate

If you add Bottom, The Young Ones and The Comic Strip onto the top list and "Last Of...." down to the bottom one then you've just written mine for me. Spookily close.

The Moon in the Mighty Boosh is mint: "Neil Armstrong, a-walkin on ma face...."

I want that one!

On another note.. i saw the American version of the office yesterday night. It's bloody awful compared to the original!

My favorite British comedies are: Fawlty Towers (John Cleese is a pure genius), Harry Enfield and Chums (Kevin and Perry are classic), Monty Python (obviously), Blackadder, Bodger & Badger, and Trigger Happy TV.

Edit: Oops I forgot Mr Bean!

You reckon? I think the second series (the one not written by RG) is much better than the UK one

Swiss Tony's got his own show on BBC3.... :D

I prefer the US office because Gervais isn't in it. He makes me cringe.

Jam is fucking class, as is BrassEye and The Day Today.

I don't want to see any more series of the League Of Gentlemen. Don't get me wrong, I like all 3 existing ones but i don't think they coud get back on the horse.

Also liking ManStrokeWoman on BBC3 aswell.

I agree, I think that was the point of the film (which I hated at the cinema, but liked on DVD - odd!)
Saw the live show last month & laughed solidly for 2 hours! It was genius

An ex-rally driver. his name really isn't important. Was never well-known.

There have been 2 Stigs..the Black and White ones have been different drivers.

Wikipedia has an article on him too.....

"Racing cars which have been converted for road use never really work. It's like making a hard core adult film, and then editing it so that it can be shown in British hotels. You'd just end up with a sort of half hour close up of some bloke's sweaty face."
