How is this? They have one at a store here and I've been meaning to get it before it disappears, I know it's limited.

The live DVD is pretty good quality... otherwise I'm not really sure since I don't know that much about katatonia (i've only heard viva emptiness + brave murder day otherwise). It's a pretty good selection of the goth rock stuff.

Their older stuff is heavier, more death metal-ish, I was just wondering if it's a lot of that stuff or not. I'll buy it, I just have to get around to it. If you'd told me the thing kicks fucking ass, I'd have bought it today! Hehehe.

where did you get that????????

New and sealed off Ebay, at a "buy it now"-price of $14. Yep, that's right. I couldn't believe it myself at first. :D
People have been known to pay up to $100 for used copies there. The auction was on for twenty minutes only when I found it and bought it immediately.

EDIT: Pssst.... a used copy is up for sale here:

That's awful, the dvd isn't even very good, the sound is crappy and it was a set opening for Dillinger, so the crowd doesn't even move until the last song. I've got better bootlegs. :(

Though I guess if you're like me, you'd rather have seen it than not see it. If you've seen their set on the Relapse Contamination Fest DVD, you'll have seen a much better show.

naaah, I've seen them live last Friday. It can't be better than the gig I saw so I guess I can live without that Digipack (untill I find it cheap somewhere, hehe)

My collection's in flux due to my move, marriage, and job hunt eating up 99.9% of free time. So I rarely buy anything but keep finding shit I forgot about.

Keepers
New:
Subterranean Masquerade-Suspended Animation Dreams

Found
Megadeth-Countdown to Extinction (remaster)

To be sold as soon as I find time to get the new comp online and ready to scan

New:
Helloween-Treasure Chest (deluxe 3CD box w/ poster)
Wildhearts-Earth Vs. . . (turns out the wife doesn't want her own copy. Ah well. At least it's the US pressing. Maybe I'll package it with the Suckerpunch promo)

Found:
Mastodon-Remission CD/DVD pack (If I sell this... I can finally get rid of that friggin lifesblood EP no one wants! IT'LL BE AWESOME!)

When my wife and I discussed "our song" for the wedding, we came to realize that we only really had full-length albums. That's how I listen to the music I really value. So collections of singles don't usuaully work for me. Thus, I'd totally ditch that Helloween.
(normally, I'd trade the thing but I need to get some $$$ to put towards more shelving for the music library so I can unpack everything for the first time in a year).

Yeah, the DVD really isn't that great. I guess it's more of a collector thing. However, the digipak also features an audio bonus track (cover of Thin Lizzy's "Emerald"), so at least that's something really neat-o.

As for the Relapse Contamination Fest DVD, does it feature a full Mastodon set?

The song Emerald was on a split 10"(?) picture disc before the CD. I'll probvably sell that too as soon as it turns up.
