Oh, you're bringing back bad memories now. I pre-ordered AE for my bf's birthday (yes having similar music taste rules 'i bought this ALLLL for you dear' muhahah) release date was about 2 weeks before his birthday i think, and it arrived like a week and a half early, so I sat there for nearly 4 weeks, dying to just open that plastic wrapping and have a listen....then the day before his birthday I went to get his last present, and there was the bloomin limited edition in the shop, so I ended up getting that one for him, and going home and listening to the bog standard one when he wasn't there, haha
