I definitely think the guitar tracks need to be pumped up for the dtb dvd - the strappers dvd lacked the presence of the guitars on some of the tracks.

This DVD was my first SYL experience I ever had, before just listenend to DTB. I just heard Devin and the Drums from Gene "the machine" and was, of course, totally overwhemlmed of this really extreme and insane killer of concert. Its just insane (and COOL) to freak out this extreme ("I just wanna ... freak out..."), and very hard "to get this over with". I jogged for 1 hour after watching the DVD to get my mixture of adrenaline, aggressions and endorphines to normal state (really, I did! Nevertheless had problems to fall asleep this night :-) ). But after buying City - with guitar sound- I have to admit, too: Drowning the guitars was no good idea at all.

But getting back to DTB:
What could be the release date of the DTB-DVD?
Does anybody know? Guess? Just when its done or is Devin aiming at a specific date? Devin should have all the time he needs, no haste, hopefully the SYL DVD gets topped, but ... hrrrrr... its so hard to wait.

DEV, you must put Bastard to the DVD just to make things "click" you know.. "Where we all came and where are we going to..."

Yeah, I'd say Ocean Machine on the whole is timeless... Hope some of that (Life/Hide Nowhere/Regulator/Bastard!) will be on the DVD. Which for me is the most anticipated release EVER. Period.

an cd would be the third of the set, and maybe it could be an audio disk of the actual concert, so you can have it as a best of live album as well.

yes plz, not enough bands put the CD of the live concert in with the DVD... i would pay like 10 extra dollars for that :P

Earth Day
Deep Peace
Seventh Wave
Life
Hide Nowhere
Greetings
Christeen
War
Material
Storm
Random Analysis

Any or all of those songs would be great (esp. Earth Day!!!). That's all I ask for.

I sure hope this happens soon. I'll be so happy. First I get the 'BE' DVD and now hopefully a Devin Townsend Band DVD.....and Arcturus have announced a DVD also. Now we just need to complete pulling off what I thought would never happen and get Mr. Doctor to pull a group together and do a Devil Doll DVD.

I think the first step is for Mr. Doctor to even give permission for Hurdy Gurdy to release whatever material they need his permission to release, though.....^_^

First of all, w00t for mentioning four of my top-5 favorite bands in a single post :P So, Arcturus coming up with a DVD too? That's amazing, hopefully it's one those gigs with Simen on vocals, would be extremely cool to hear & see him sing The Chaos Path

Yes, the Arcturus DVD they say they will release is their performance from the Inferno Festival......that's with Simen on vocals. Their pinnacle DVD for me of course would be Garm on vocals, but apparently you can't have Garm be in a band and have that band tour.......so it's just one or the other.
