So many things about this image brings me pain. First of all, how does one accidentally rip one's finger off at a rave? I thought it was called ecstasy not agony. Second, what song was playing? Cause I'm gonna need that kind of adrenaline someday.

And presumably the drugs were good!

The lad was completely sober. That's just...pure Croydon for you. It's the UK's equivalent of a guest at a party no one really invited who jumped fully clothed into the pool with their phone still in their pocket.

That's mortifying. I know what town to avoid completely if I ever end up going overseas.

Also, I've evolved from forum bastard to bad devil! :D

It's the main town over from mine, absolute butt of all jokes. Even Devin knows what Croydon is and why it's lame! Luckily all my town is known for is a wizard and a sitcom 8)

Explain please. I've got a weird wizard fetish, in a non sexual way of course.

There I was with a day off, sitting around my flat with my lazy bum clothes on, when suddenly I get a call to come into work immediately. It seems almost a shame it was only for a few hours but that's better than nothing. It also got me the info that casual Friday is being nixed for tomorrow. I suppose that's fine, I don't mind wearing another monkey suit.

So I spent most of my train journey home last night cracking up laughing..

Last week, we went out as a work team to play crazy golf. My colleague was really nice, and as she's staying in a hotel asked if I wanted to get a shower there and get changed before we went. However, my meetings overran and I didn't have time in the end, but before she left, she put a note on my desk to say to go over there if I had time.

Lady night, I went to get something out of my bag, and stuck to it was a post-it note...after reading it, it struck me that if that had fallen out of my bag at home it would have looked incredibly incriminating! "Room 710 Holiday Inn. Meet me there. I will go now so will have free use of the bathroom"

Good thing hubby trusts me/knows I'm fugly/that I'm currently approaching the size of a small whale to clear my name!

Stress: Moving abroad. What do I bring? I can't bring everything. How do I prepare? Can I even prepare properly? Hmm...

^Speaking from personal experience: Don't bring much. It's amazing how, even on a tiiiny budget, you end up owning all kinds of things within a few years. It's becoming a greater challenge every year to store away all my stuff for the summer. :P

On a more serious note: ALL THE FOOD YOU WILL MISS!
I keep hoarding canned fish, brown cheese, moose sausage, roe paste, jam, chocolate... gah! Even those porridge- and sauce packets I wouldn't be caught dead using when at home. :P

What Faffy said :D Bring stuff you'll miss and you can't easily get- special foods, snacks, magazines... Anything that brings you comfort.

Also agree with downscaling... bring less than what you think you'll need. Unless you are moving to a really remote location (the jungle?) you should be able to buy anything you need little by little. Good luck!!!!

Noooo not the brown cheese - it's the devil's variation of cheese! Never could get used to it.

One thing I still have a stockpile of is piffi. I put piffi on everything!
